  1. I could be wrong, but I don't think rooftop seats will be any bargain themselves. Usually, companies rent those out for outings and such. Not exactly sure how an individual would gain entry. You might wanna try this... http://www.wrigleyrooftops.com/
  2. He is. That's why they made a big deal about it.
  3. Piniella said it this morning on the Score. I've heard it.
  4. Why would Fox put those times up then? Stupid Fox. First Fox News, now this. TBS is at fault this time.
  5. tbs has hd... check with your service provider Yep. DirecTV picked it up last week. I think Comcast is getting it in the next couple days. My buddy has Dish Network...not sure if he's gonna have it.
  6. Details are overwhelming. Cliffs please?
  7. Don't see why they would change it. This one is through tickets.com....wasn't the NLDS through the Cubs official website? The one through the Cubs website was still through Tickets.com. And I'm pretty sure you'll still be able to get to this one through the Cubs site. It wouldn't make any sense for there not to be a link just like before.
  8. As much as I like Marshall, I think Z on 3 days rest and Lilly on normal rest (potential games 4 and 5) >> fresh Marshall and Z on normal rest.
  9. Don't see why they would change it.
  10. Are you serious? Theriot sucks at 2nd in the order Theriot was just on with Silvy and Waddle and said that he doesn't know where Lou will bat him, but expects to hit 8th since that seemed to work lately. Guess Lou hasn't told him yet.
  11. All of the division series games, AL and NL, are on TBS. http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/6843822 Just saw that. I thought Fox had some or all of the ALDS. I guess it's just the ALCS and WS.
  12. Honestly, as much of a draw the Cubs are, the Boston-Los Angeles matchup has to be a better priority for the networks to get on prime time TV. One of the biggest fan bases against a team that plays in the vicinity of the second largest market in the US. The Cubs are a great draw, but a DBacks team with limited star power and limited fan appeal will not be quite the demand that many are expecting. I wouldn't be surprised to be the 4PM game on Wednesday (2 PM in Arizona) They're on different networks, though. Wouldn't TBS want their best drawing matchup on at prime time?
  13. Oh, man. Coupled with Coletti's veteran-love, this would be an epic pairing.
  14. Chris Young, Eric Byrnes, Stephen Drew, Conor Jackson, Augie Ojeda, Justin Upton, Chad Tracy, Chris Snyder... Yeah, I have no idea how they produce offense. Of course, now that I say that, it'll probably be Chris Young that kills the Cubs. Holy heck bukie...ones bad enough! I hope Arizona plays tight but I have this weird feeling it'll be the Cubs that do so instead. I think his point was that none of those guys are huge cause for concern. ;) But it's a short series and obviously anyone can come up big. My vote is Augie. Or not.
  15. yeah .. for all the heartburn they give me, the cubs have had a pretty good 2/3rds of a season. since early june -- over the last 100 games or so -- they're playing at a 0.575ish clip, good for about 93 wins over the course of 162 games. Yep. And that's while having missed Soriano (which coincided with the one major stumble they had during that stretch) for 3 weeks.
  16. It's definitely a Wednesday game..just what time.. I think he was asking if it was Wednesday right now...as in, is today Wednesday? ;)
  17. Yea... 2007 Cubs > 1998 Cubs by a fairly wide margin, IMO Plus 1998 NL field >>> 2007 NL field
  18. Of course the playoffs are a crapshoot. We know that. But the better team still has a better chance of winning (albeit slightly). Could you really ask for better in terms of an opponent in the playoffs, though?
  19. Nobody? Does anyone at least have a link to where I could see the video online and figure it out myself? Straight Lines, by Silverchair Thanks!
  20. Nobody? Does anyone at least have a link to where I could see the video online and figure it out myself?
  21. Offtopic but can someone hook me up with the name of the song that was played in WGN's 2007 Cubs montage?
  22. 5-2, no? Every turn has to end with a loss...
  23. Flukes can last a whole season. Let's see if the D'Backs (as presently constructed) come close to 90 wins next year. Then maybe I'll believe they are somehow the exception to the rule.
  24. Having a terrible offense and a decent pitching staff and ending up with 90 wins? So explain how the Cubs are soooo superior to us. You guys only scored like 40 more runs than us, not whole lot. We have the 7th best SP ERA. .5 behind CHC .6 from being the 2nd best in MLB. Do you realize that that's quite a bit? Not really when you're 90-72 compared to 85-77 in the best division in all of MLB The Cubs underachieved a little this year. The Diamondbacks overachieved a ton. Pythagorean W-L (based on info before today's games) AZ - 79-82 CHI - 87-74 What we're saying is there's reason to believe that the D'Backs aren't as good as their record and that the Cubs might be better than theirs. Everybody knows that the D'Backs won more games. There's no argument there.
