Yeah, this has been a theme for some time (shout out to the second half of last year when we were treated to daily articles about how wonderful the Brewers are), but this one takes the cake. “If you take away the guy having one of the best seasons in Cubs history, things look worse.” I can’t wrap my head around the idea that trading talent from a middle of the pack farm system to improve a deeply flawed rotation is a bad idea, particularly when we’re rocking one of the best lineups (according to stats instead of vibes or whatever) and defenses. also setting up the idea that the Cubs *need* a middle of the order bat (they don’t) only to determine that, no, they should not get one. Huh.

It was in 2020. It was a dumb political meme about Hillary Clinton being a man. The funniest part about it is that it was included in a tweet about maybe the most inconsequential Cubs call up ever. Gramps fumbled his phone trying to break the Ian Miller call up news as quickly as possible and accidentally attached one of the pictures from his Drunk Uncle folder lmao.

The group that’s hung around here for more than two decades is very left-leaning, yes, and most are very supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community, so your strange reply to an incredibly well written and thoughtful piece from the Giants blogger generated some push back. What did you expect? You’re not going to convince people here that politics and sports should be separated. Many have tried. Many have failed. Politics is impossible to separate from any facet of life. If you’re not willing to deal with that, you’re probably not going to like it much here. But regardless of all of that, whatever difficulty you’re going through in your life, don’t let a baseball message board be an added source of stress. I hope you’re able to navigate whatever it is you’re dealing with.
