Media travel. Never underestimate the power of hundreds of reporters complaining about something. BS. It's so that an underdog team has a better shot at an upset. No, it's so hundreds of reporters, radio, and TV people don't have to fly to LA to Boston to LA to Boston to LA over two weeks. It's about logistics, not conspiracies. Still lame. Why would you do something that could change the outcome of a championship series because the reporters might get a little tired? Pretty ridiculous. Baseball follows the same format -- for similar reasons, I suspect. Hockey doesn't, but the Stanley Cup finals draw a much smaller media contingent. But doesn't MLB stay 2-3-2 for all the 7 game series?
