  1. Edgar gets a hit to right, least shocking result ever
  2. I bet Renteria doubles to right because he knows he's immune from anything near the inside of the plate.
  3. First Morganism of the night. Johnson still has an outfielder's swing.
  4. Renteria showing astonishing range of 1 step to his left.
  5. How's that possible? It's not, that's why the manager would get suspended.
  6. No no no no, let Eyre do it. Well, we want it to hurt, not tickle him.
  7. That last microphone segment just elevated my anger at the situation by an order of 10. You thought he intentionally threw at his head? Honestly, someone send Wolf to AA, does he have options?
  8. I don't think so. Lilly pretty much maintained his puppy dog face that he always has the whole time, and none of the camera shots seemed to show him saying anything.
  9. He should also have a bat with him. I don't know how to pull that off, but it needs to happen.
  10. Strikes 2 and 3 to Fontenot were highly dubious
  11. You have to eject him, he lead with the shoulder and jacked Fontenot in the face. I mean it's probably interference with the way he went out of his way to whack him.
  12. It didn't look like it, he was already 0-2 on him. This is beyond belief. Soriano hits HR, Braves hit him on purpose with no consequences, Lilly hits someone on accident and gets immediately ejected, what a fantastic sequence of logic.
  13. I bid Danny Almonte.
  14. They release it as a PDF, so they aren't losing ad revenue whether you view it on your desktop or at NSBB.
  15. Louisville pouring it on against OK State in their Game 3. Ugh.
  16. So Cuban, and Cuban alone, is responsible for the personnel decisions on the Mavs, and would be if he bought the Cubs? no, but only jerry jones has his hand further in the cookie jar than mark cuban. Okay, let's assume that Cuban has a lot of influence over these things. He took over a team in January of 2000 that ended up finishing 40-42. After that: 53-29 57-25 60-22 52-30 58-24 60-22 67-15 That's a .709 Winning percentage in the more difficult of the two conferences. He's not running the team into the ground. The exact opposite, actually.

  18. Phil Nevin is the analyst for the Wichita-UC Irvine game on ESPN. That alone is making this worth watching.
  19. Pie now hitting .387/.429/.581/1.010 in 35 PA's since his callup.
  20. Are you sure it's not five? I think it was 5 before the game and it should be 5 now still. . 5 games back, 4 in the loss column
  21. Atkins and Hernandez both had strong outings. Atkins: 6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 4/1 K/BB, 1 HR Hernandez: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 5/0 K/BB Colvin finished 2/5 with that HR and a K. Holliman wasn't as lights out, but had a decent outing peripherally. 6 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 6/2 K/BB, 1 HR But really the guy I'm getting excited about is Hernandez. He won't turn 19 until October, here's his performance since the Peoria callup: 24 IP, 22 H, 9 ER, 18/6 K/BB, 1 HR, 1.17 WHIP, 3.38 ERA
  22. The Cubs are playing Toronto on Thursday. I have tickets to that game also and I believe it will be Marquis again. No, it's Seattle.
  23. Tschida seems to be calling everything a ball out of habit now.
  24. Who says Fontenot can't play defense? Who cares if he was already right next to the base?
