  1. The only team in the playoff hunt that could've claimed him before Arizona was LA. Dunn's a Free Agent after the year.
  2. Here are the differences in their schedules down the stretch: Arizona 3 v. Florida 3 v. St. Louis 3 v. Cincy 4 v. San Francisco 4 @ St. Louis Los Angeles 3 v. San Diego 3 v. San Francisco 4 @ Philadelphia 3 @ Washington 4 @ Pittsburgh They also have 6 games left against each other, 3 in LA and 3 in Arizona. Looks like LA has some easier opponents, but plays more games on the road.
  3. The first sentence contradicts the second one, unless he forgot a "not" in the first sentence.
  4. They do have the best pitching in the league though, don't they? Their lineup sucks, but Manny does improve them offensively, and he's by far better than anybody AZ has. They have the best ERA in the league because of Dodger stadium. Billingsley is the only starter without a heavy home/road split, and they lost Saito for the year recently too. 122 team ERA+, right? 3.08 ERA at home, best in the league by over a run 4.86 ERA away from home, 10th in the NL Home and Away ERA Player Home Away Kuo 1.05 2.20 Park 1.73 3.40 Stults 1.80 4.26 Broxton 2.45 4.43 Lowe 2.72 5.88 Kershaw 2.81 4.71 Kuroda 3.29 4.75

  6. I'd strongly consider driving up from school just to be in Wrigleyville for that if it were to happen.
  7. Johnson won't be a free agent this offseason, not until after '09. Trading for Winn's contract would be all kinds of dumb.
  8. Really? I can't remember the last time Richard Justice came to the correct conclusion. Hah, fair enough.
  9. The Cubs are first in the NL with a .714 Defensive Efficiency, last year they were first in the NL with a .712
  10. Really, even after we pantsed them four straight games in their ballpark, against their top 4 starters? They're winning because they're playing the worst teams in the NL at home right now.
  11. Daisuke looks pretty good. So did Godzilla. Speaking of Matsui, you guaranteeing that Kosuke won't have a power jump like Hideki did? He only had one good month his first season too.
  12. lol Bernard http://sweet.socialpets.net/22257989976p74610.gif
  13. That was heartbreaking.
  14. Check the name of the woman who won one of the weightlifting events for Thailand: Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarakoon
  15. Vance took him a while ago.
  16. That was the correct conclusion with some turrible logic that led him to it. Not a first for Richard Justice though.
  17. I'm still not comfortable. Anyone reaches and it's Pujols, Ludwick, and Glaus. Forgot about Mather.
  18. Yep. He would've scored on the hit anyways, and wild pitches are not errors.
  19. Man, Kosuke put good wood on that, he needed a hit there.
  20. Ramirez has not been on top of things defensively the last couple weeks.
  21. Morgan topping his logical fallacies with completely incorrect facts, awesome
  22. He was dead by a good bit. The throw beat him but I'm not so sure Glaus got a glove on him.
  23. I'm not so sure Cedeno was out. If Glaus tagged him Ronny might've been touching the base at the time.
