Braun is already contributing to that offense, and LaPorta is an Indian. If you trade Fielder, you have Gamel and maybe Lawrie, that's not quite an assembly line, especially since Gamel isn't a lock to be a plus offensive first baseman.

I can't wait for the Arch Rivalry, it should be awesome. I think Mizzou is going to be too much for U of I.

popped out to short in his first AB

To be fair, when your OBP is .286, you're good enough to spend time making up "Ted Lilly hates the Braves" conspiracy theories.
  6. Transmogrified Tiger
That's so terrible that it's painful to read.

he has no ass, that's what makes him good, apparently. They did a breakdown of his features before his race. He's 6'4'' with a 6'7'' wingspan. Size 14 feet. His legs are as long as that of a man who is 6'0'', but his torso is as tall as a man who is 6'8''. A 32" waist, that's unbelievable.

They become what the Reds were before they dealt Dunn.
  9. Transmogrified Tiger
He's going to be the new Crash Davis. Speaking of.... How is Matt Craig doing? .974 OPS in 61 ABs. He's only starting about half the games recently.
  10. Transmogrified Tiger
Jackson is done after 4. 4 IP, 1 hit, 1 unearned run 4/4 K/BB. Good outing aside from the control. Peoria is in a rain delay, Coleman was perfect through 2 with 2 K's

    ENOUGH WITH THE SYNCHRONIZED DIVING
  12. Transmogrified Tiger
Well, it's something different entirely if you're superman diving into first base. That might be just as fast or slightly faster, but you're going to kill yourself doing that 9 times out of 10. You're essentially throwing yourself headlong at a rock.

Oh come on, I went to Boise's box score so I could make a big deal that Flaherty went one game without an error, and sure enough, he committed number 14 last night.

Is it really that hard to understand why it's legal? how about enlightening us, oh wise one? When you step to third you're attempting at the runner on third, even if you don't throw the ball. After that you're no longer bound by those balk rules because you're not on the rubber. It's the same reason that stepping off and flashing your arm to the runner at first isn't a balk.

People that don't like batters sliding into first base, because they think the batter doesn't get there faster. They do. Otherwise track runners wouldn't lean into the tape at the finish line. The reason for not sliding into first is all about injury. As an addition to this, announcers saying that if it was faster, track runners would dive at the finish line. The reason they don't dive at the finish line is because a rubber track to the face isn't so pleasant. I reject your hypothesis without hand held stopwatch findings from you and several buddies.

Who cares really, all their medals are in crappy judged "events", or weightlifting.

I've been saying all along, just cut their leg off and count the rings. get them drunk and ask them then We'll show them to be the last leg of the pub crawl.

Seriously, the little one is 9 years old at the most.

Jay Jackson and 2 Cubs games in one day? I don't know if I can handle tomorrow... Casey Coleman in Peoria. Andrew Cashner and Chris Carpenter for Boise. Not a bad day tomorrow. Why do I feel like I've never heard of Coleman? He was drafted a couple months ago like Jackson, several rounds later(I want to say 15th or 16th).

"good pickoff moves" from LHPs. They're all balks, all of them. The ball beat the runner, so he's going to be called out even if he never even touches him and the runner makes a great slide.
  23. Transmogrified Tiger
Venezuela just Brant Brown'd a fly ball with 2 outs to give the US another run.

haha, Z plays up that he doesn't know what he's doing, then Ramirez says Z bowls all the time and taught him how
