  1. Boy, that was really close. AKA, throw the ball to first Heilman you dolt. Wait, that's not a swing? Unbelievable.
  2. I can't decide whether I think Marmol is months or weeks from the pain that signals TJS.
  3. Jeez, just put Fontenot back at 2B everyday and let the cavalcade of Blanco/Scales/Miles/Freel play 3B.
  4. Sure looked like Kosuke was acting like it was a hit and run.
  5. My goodness, Wells has been on cruise control for over 35 innings now.
  6. Good stuff(good fastball and nice curve, mediocre change), awful control.
  7. So Wells gives up a single, two infield nubbers, a routine 6-3, and a K, and gives up a run. Sounds about right for him.
  8. No Len, it's never good to see Bruce Froemming, even if he's just watching the game.
  9. Kouzmanoff is better than the type of guys I'm talking about. Then please, say who you're talking about. Who should they get to fill this one month void until Ramirez is back?
  10. If that's your criteria, then odds are we'd get that from what we have now over the next month until Ramirez comes back. If you want some guy who looks the part of the third baseman too, who is it? Even mediocre 3B at the MLB level aren't given away, look at the discussion about Kouzmanoff from last week.
  11. Wait, there's no trade to be made right now? None of us are talking about getting some great third baseman. We're talking about somebody who can actually play third base for a major league team. Don't act like that's so hard to find. As for me saying I wouldn't give up prospects for a win move... I never said that. I said I wouldn't do it for a rental player like Holliday Who's going to trade with you, and who's the target that's good enough to be worth parting with worthwhile prospects for? I don't really want to part with Casey Coleman or Tony Thomas because our underachieving offense hasn't started to pick up for the loss of Ramirez(who's probably back actually playing third base for a major league team after the all-star break), especially when they are very likely to begin doing so over the next few weeks. My apologies for misattributing you, although a bullpen arm would in all likelihood be a rental(and again, cost a heavy premium).
  12. UZR has Bradley as a pretty poor defensive RF so far this year. Last year in a similar amount of playing time it had him as an awesome defensive RF.
  13. There is no trade to be made right now. Where could they do something? They have long term contracts at all 3 OF spots, 1B, and 3B(meaning you can't trade for an impact 3B unless he can play somewhere else, making it impossible). SS is getting fine production, so you're left with giving up on last year's ROY or getting a new 2B to improve the offense. The rotation has been more than fine considering who's been getting the starts, and while the bullpen has been bad, the premium to add a bullpen arm on June 6th would be extravagant(and I know I've seen dexter saying we shouldn't be giving up trading chips for a win-now move). Furthermore, there's like 20-25 teams that are technically still in contention for a playoff spot, so there's not going to be too many teams willing to part with a 2B/C/RP to help us out.
  14. Nice going you schmuck, no one was going to notice the ball bouncing off your hands like that. Who is this trying to get the penalty spot moved back? Sanchez didn't shave his head, did he?
  15. Bradley has a career .358 wOBA, despite being pretty bad the first ~800 PA's of his career when he was only 22-24 years old. For reference, 27 OFs were better than that mark last year(26 if you don't think Jack Cust is an outfielder).
  16. This looks like a pretty undeserved PK coming up for Mexico.
  17. Moving the pitcher one spot is crucial when he's 7 hitters away.
  18. I'm trying to find a stream, can someone tell me what minute we're in?
  19. People wanting to bash the Bradley deal probably shouldn't bring up BABIP, considering Milton's is currently under .240 and is likely to rise by a substantial margin.
