  1. I appreciate that thought but Cleveland had 11 baserunners in the game. Maybe ding them for being unable to plate more runs but I think they overall hit well and chased a really good pitcher who I thought has a good game plan against them out before 5 innings. The Dodgers in game 2 did look rather bad at the plate overall. No extra base hits and half their singles were seeing-eye or bloopers. One run was a very deserved result.
  2. One more thing before I drown my sorrows in calories, this is the same thing that happened in the NLCS, the Cubs dropped a home game and people were sad and didn't notice that the opposing team wasn't hitting at all. Throwing on 3 days rest(and then again after that, but let's cross that bridge if necessary) is not going to be the same guy, get Kluber for a couple runs and bring things back to equilibrium.
  3. Just remembered that Davis was out on the pickoff at 3rd so I need to step away for a while. Ski does have the night off though.
  4. Don't hit send next time, saying things you don't mean makes things worse for everyone else.
  5. so they're either putting all their eggs in the 'Rajai Davis gets a hit' basket, or they're relying on the non-Miller pen to get 9 outs seems pretty lose/lose for them
  6. really relieved that Montgomery is the lefty prepped to face the top of the order instead of Wood
  7. I'm using my game 1 coping mechanisms(losing this game hurts Cleveland more than us), but please score some got dang runs
  8. Give Edwards the 7th until they pinch hit for Miller or get to Kipnis.
  9. I kinda feel like you go to Almora here, but I don't feel all that strongly about it. Seems like we're hoping for a walk with Montero and that Fowler can capitalize.
  10. He's not leaving stuff over the plate, and the Cubs aren't punishing any early strikes. The two baserunners part is on the Cubs, but he's deservedly shut them out thus far. Keyword is thus far, it'll take very little time for him to drop a couple runs if he isn't careful.
  11. Lindor and Ramirez have 120% of their hits this series, all of them singles
  12. can we please please please put away Lindor please and also can their routine ground balls stop finding holes
  13. both position players hit the ball sharply, I bet the 2nd time thru the order gets them a couple runs. Would've been real nice to cash in Zobrist or otherwise scratch across a run the first trip though, if Tomlin is going 4+ IP there's a decent sized difference between 2 and 3 runs.
  14. Smoltz shocked that a schedule that matches the Cubs and Indians once every 3 years would prevent players from those teams from facing each other.
  15. I didn't get to see the game, but good for Valdez and karmic justice for Vermes' hack2win brand of soccer. Win/win
  16. If it's LetsGoTribe, then someone already corrected them. Not before the guy excitedly commented about the wind blowing in several times though.
