  1. Allen Ray caught a finger to the eye, he was in a lot of pain and yelling "I can't see" on the sideline as he was attended to.
  2. I think a win Saturday and IU is no worse than a 7 seed. Win Sunday and make that a 6. I like our chances against the Buckeyes. I think whoever wins the Killingsworth-Dials match-up wins the game. GO IU! I am not a Mike Davis fan, and I'm glad we will have a new coach next season, but I'm pleasently surprised with the way the team has played since he resigned. Haven't they said that the Championship game doesn't impact the seeding?
  3. Gamecast still has Davis with 2 fouls as of 16:43 left.
  4. Snood, how did JamesOn Curry look? I like him a lot as a combo guard coming out after his junior season. He had a very nice freshman season in the sixth man/starting role at OSU, but has struggled some this year. I've watched Curry play several games this year, and I have to say I'm not very impressed with him. He seems to have regressed from last year.
  5. I gotta tell you, this 30 seconds - refresh - learn about a missed free throw - 30 seconds - refresh stuff is just like watching the game. And BC is winning 22-4. 36-29 at the half. Davis not in foul trouble yet, hopefully Ager can stay hot.
  6. i thought FSU lost yesterday? Or Maryland/BC, whatever. Geography still stands.
  7. Man, I sure am glad that I get to see Maryland/Florida State instead of MSU/Illinois. Must be all those FSU grads who came to Missouri for the climate.
  8. A buddy of mine gets press access for Inside Mizzou, I'll have him put the good word in. Seriously though, I'd be intimidated talking to a guy with two different colored eyes. http://images.stltoday.com/stltoday/resources/scherzer155closeup020906.jpg
  9. It's time for the Max Scherzer multimedia hour kids! I left Scherzer's start tonight with Mizzou trailing 2-0 after 2 and a half innings(I had already been to the softball game and needed food). Here's some stills of Scherzer from the windup: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000141.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000142.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000143.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000144.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000145.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000146.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/cubsfan_05/P1000147.jpg Video from the windup and the stretch to follow once it gets uploaded.
  10. Jeebers, Syracuse comes back again.
  11. No, they play Ohio State.
  12. hahaha http://www.newsobserver.com/content/multimedia/sports/coachkommercial/
  13. [last year]Did you see MSU lose to Iowa in the quarterfinals? No way they go anywhere in the tourney.[/last year] It's funny to me that people write off teams(O$U, Tennessee, Gonzaga, etc.) when they lose or don't win convincingly in games that the other team has everything to play for and they only have seeding. In some cases, it may be the first time they've seen them play all season.
  14. 9 outs, they get 5 innings. I thought it was 7?
  15. Bad news for Badger fans, IU is starting to roll and get that crowd behind them...
  16. 5 years, 13 million. For a guy that hit .292/.366/.520 with 24 homers last year as a SS? Wow. They didn't buy out any of his free agency years. He may have made a bit more if he kept hitting at that rate throughout his indentured servitude, but it's not that big of a bargain.
  17. Delaware State, Albany, Charlotte, Southern, and Louisville don't belong anywhere near the bubble. Pacific doesn't deserve an at large, but I don't think it's going to matter. Kent State has a top 64 RPI, only 8 losses, a 9-6 road/neutral mark that will improve to 10-6 if they win in the conference semis(likely), which will also make them 8 of their last 9. I wouldn't put them at the front of the bubble, but I wouldn't eliminate them from consideration.
  18. Or by giving up 8 runs to South Africa. nope, those don't matter - the tiebreaker only applies to the teams involved in the tie. Ah, well I'm still going to think that it's karma for giving up that many runs to South Africa.

  20. unless this one goes extras . . . If they tie or Canada wins, then Mexico would only have 1 win. Mexico's already scored enough so that we only need to win if they hold on. This game doesn't matter anymore to the US. how many innings before its a tie? the tiebreaker is runs/inning - not just runs. The tiebreaker doesn't matter if those 2 tie, and Mexico has scored many more than the original 3 needed.
