    I think that has to do with the purging of posts that went on. It kept all of the post counts, but in the total number of posts it got cut. so the purging of posts modified the % but npt the total post count? i see... To clarify... Total number of posts at NSBB = cut by the purge Individual post counts = maintained At least that's what I think it is.

    When Haren and Mulder put up comparable numbers last year(Haren was probably better all things considered), and Haren is still only 25 and is under team control for much longer and cheaper than Mulder, I don't know how you can say that it's an even deal. Add in that the Cards added their top hitting prospect plus a serviceable ML ready arm, and it's apparent that they were taken.

    Gload isn't very good. Definitely not worth giving up someone like Wuertz.

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but there was a link where several systems were compared to UZR, and I believe Probabilistic Model of Range was the closest to matching UZR. When it comes to first basemen though, it's much more difficult to quantify given that their main task in fielding(catching throws) differs from other fielders(fielding batted balls).

    I'm pretty sure you're the only one talking about the last two years, from the looks of the quotes. I don't have the time to calculate his two year totals, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's not worse than 32 other starters in the NL, which would make the 3/4 starter at least minimally true.

    Because they don't really like Wilson, and can take advantage of an opportunity to get something for him before he leaves for Free Agency.

    Lidge's ERA+ was 181 last year; Dempster's was 136. Not exactly a fantasy when you, uh, you statistics. That includes Dempster's subpar time as a starter. As a reliever last year: Lidge: 3.12 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 12.45 K/9, .226 BAA, 3.00 K/BB Dempster: 1.85 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 8.18 K/9, .218 BAA, 1.96 K/BB Lidge was better, but it's not a landslide.

    Minute Maid has actually played as a pretty neutral park the last couple of years. This year so far it's the 4th best environment for runs. Sample size is too small, in my opinion. I'm not drawing conclusions about the ballpark itself, but Jimy used numbers from this year, so it's fair to point out that they are skewed by the ballpark thus far in the context that he used him.
