  1. That would've been nice to have in the system.
  2. Are you sure it was Pawelek? He's sceduled to start tomorrow, and MiLB has Clipp getting the final out.
  3. Thats what I was thinking. Same here. Me 3. Sorry, Carniby. carniby.
  4. Nice to see that Colvin is starting to turn it on a little bit, he seems to be making more contact and less K's over the last few games. One thing that I have liked is that going through the logs, it seems like most of his outs are made the to left side of the field meaning he's trying to shoot pitches the other way. Once he settles in I think he'll do pretty good.
  5. What do EQA and EQR stand for on offense, and what are NERA, PERA, DELH, STUF for pitching?
  6. Dopirak was excellent in spring training with the big club, but he broke a bone in his foot/ankle in the first game of the year I believe. He's back playing now but Ron has said that he's still not able to generate any power off of it. Scott Moore has also showed a good bat at 3B, but his defense is still quite shaky. Ryan Theriot, Micah Hoffpauir, and Mike Fontenot have all had nice seasons at AAA but they're also all 26. Soto was up at the end of Barrett's suspension but never got an AB but he's looking good too.
  7. For anyone watching the game, do you think the Cubs are trying to set up the DP or has Maddux's control slipped in this AB?
  8. What's with the Cubs pitching out with a runner on 3rd?
  9. Nomar would look nice in the lineup, but where would he play in the field? He can't play SS anymore, we've got Ramirez at third, Lee at first, and he didn't seem too interested in the OF.
  10. Nice pick up for the Cards. All it cost them was a 24 year-old OF who has split this season between High A and AA. I guess since they got him so cheaply they'll be picking up all of his salary.
  11. Pawelek was extremely wild tonight: 2IP 3H 3R/0ER 2/1 K/BB 2 HBP E1 (Throw).
  12. Lee strikes out to win the game; Pettite gets the win and Prior is charged with the loss.
  13. Walker flies out to deep center.
  14. Hammerin' Hank White hits a solo shot into the Crawford boxes.
  15. Wilson strikes out to end the inning....I think the world might end as well.
  16. 89-90 is considered good velocity? The machines down at the batting cages will hit that easily...I guess Rusch isn't much different.
  17. Lamb dumps one into the left field corner, 2 score and Berkman is up now.
  18. The Cubs are cheap, they're waiting until Rusch is small enough to fit in a single greyhound seat for his ride to Iowa.
  19. Rusch can't even get the ball to the plate; does anyone know when the next Cubs' tryouts are being held? I'm lefthanded and I can atleast get the ball to the plate.
  20. Another walk for Rusch and the bases are loaded now...here come the fireworks!!!
  21. I thought it was going to be a robbery comedy called "The Biggest Heist"? Is that about Dusty's 4 year contract, Neifi's two year contract, or Glendon's two year contract? It's a combination, but the main story line is about Baker's upcoming extension.
  22. Rothschild is on the phone again....I wonder who is going to come in next?
