Albuquerque turned 18 last June and will play short-season at 19 this year. And he will *not* add another positive catching prospect to the ranks. Albuquerque is the pitcher!! I think you're thinking of the catcher Mercedes? I don't have final stats, but as of July 22 Albuquerque was 1.45 ERA, 28K/6BB/22H in 31 innings. :oops: Yes, I was thinking of Mercedes. Two interesting names, to be certain. :D

A few things I remember being surprised by: 1) Alberto Albequerque will only be 18 this year. The fact that Oneri seems certain he'll start above Mesa and move quickly seems to be a very good sign. Add another positive catching prospect to the ranks. 2) I was a bit surprised to hear that Ryu was throwing 95 in the fall league. As Craig always questions, I wonder if that meant that he was touching 95 once or twice an appearance, or if he was working at that velocity? 3) I really enjoyed the emphasis on the fact that Greenberg *will* make the majors. :thumleft: There was more, but those are the things that are standing out to me at the moment.

I'm working on getting the premium features back online right now. I'll activate the account when I've got it back up and running. The attack yesterday required me to upgrade the board software, so all of the premium modifications have to be redone. I should be complete tonight, though.

Did anyone ask about the shirt or should I skip that marketing expense next year? Nobody asked about it, no. I couldn't say how many people actually paid attention to it when I was walking around. Of course, Hendry saw the address twice... I won't even begin to try to comment on some of the things that Dusty, Hendry, and the rest said. I'm pooped. Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like next year I'll spend that $200 on something else. Get some rest, there's plenty of time to talk about all this stuff. :D

I'll edit as I find my responses. Tremendously detailed notes Jon. Like I'd seen all day, just not scribble that I couldn't read. Burnt out, good to see you there, even if it was for a good minute or so. This reminds me of a conversation I had with my seven year old son the other day. I had gotten him a box of these cool bendable pencils and found him in a room with all of them broken -- except for the one he was currently bending in his hands. I tried my hardest to be patient and asked him why he was kept bending the pencils until they broke. He said that the whole reason to have bendable pencils was to bend them. I couldn't really argue that point, but I asked him why he kept breaking them. He asked me how else he could find out how far they would bend unless he broke them. Of course, then he had a box full of broken pencils that wouldn't bend anymore. But at least he knew how far they'd bend before they broke.
