  1. You keep doing things that make Premium appear to be the way to go! Stop please, I can't afford it. :( :x Aw, c'mon. It's one McDonalds meal per month! :D
  2. Oh Yeah!!!!! Now that's better. A message editing box that isn't nearly as tiny. Now that's what I'm talking about! I've change the text edit box for messages from tiny to a more reasonable size (15 lines and 35 characters wide to 25 lines and 50 characters wide).
  3. Bah, but the mod screwed up the fonts. Not worth it. Another to undo. :(
  4. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH This line will wrap won't stretch your screen now if you're using Premium!
  5. This is more of an announcement: I will no longer be uploading custom avatars for non-premium users. I'll still do it for Premium users (though they can do it themselves, too). This is a question: With all the traffic on this site, it is expensive to maintain. For those that aren't contributing to the support of the site (non-premium users), would it be fair to limit the bandwidth they consume by not allowing signature images + avatars? I have mixed feelings on this one, so I'm open to arguments from both sides. (For those that are curious, the site has already consumed over 40 GB of bandwidth this month. Well over 90% of that is consumed by non-premium members.)
  6. As promised...the "clean index" modification is gone. I wish there were a way to turn it on/off by individual user.
  7. Okay then. Let's see... About 15 PM's and a couple of passionate posts later, it's clear. Bye bye collapsed index view! I'll make it go away ASAP this morning. (probably around 9:30).
  8. Mucho difficult to implement. Good thought, though.
  9. Clicking on the category title will bring up the complete list of forums in that category, btw. Not sure I like this one...I need some feedback! I wish there were an easy way to turn it on and off.
  10. This one might take some getting used to, but it could be a time saver... On a trial basis, this new mod hides any forum that doesn't have new posts. So the ones that don't get much traffic don't take up space on the screen. Only the forums (fora?) with activity show up on the index page.
  11. Added tonight! All smileys now appear on the posting screen, so there's no need to hit the "see more smilies" link to get to the good ones!
  12. You can have your mom email me and I'll walk her through the process. :D
  13. You should be set!
  14. You think you could hook us all up with this one? It's only $5 / month...
  15. I've also doubled the max signature length for premium members to 512 characters instead of 255.
  16. Can you put a note in your sig about your previous name if you make a change? Thanks.
  17. I'll have to check that out tonight. There appears to be a bug in the upload avatar code.
  18. Seems to work now. (though you've removed the proof!) :D
  19. Try it now.
  20. Both are accessed using the "Profile" link at the top of the page. Once there, to change your name go to the "Registering" tab of the profile screen and you can change your screen name (I only ask that you keep it clean and give us a clue who you are). To change whether or not you see sigs, go to the "Profile" tab, then click on "Profile Settings" on the left side, then on "Reading". There you'll be able to set whether you see avatars, signatures and images.
  21. Now that Premium access is restricted, I thought it would be a good idea to put together a list of features that have been added to the Premium UI so that people could see what they get for their (paltry :) ) $5/month. As I continue to add things that are Premium-only, I'll keep this list updated. If I'm forgetting anything, please PM me with what I've left out. So, without further ado (and in no particular order), here it is: Double the signature length! (max 512 characters instead of 255) Twice the Private message storage The freedom to choose a custom rank The ability to upload your own avatars The ability to change your name The ability to control if you want to see sigs, avatars, images Happy Birthday greetings Friends lists Ignore lists The ability to show online status to only friends The ability to accept PM's from only friends The ability to show email, web, messenger and personal information to only friends The "Home panel" view, combining a list of online/offline friends, new PM's, a list of watched threads (and new message notifications on those threads) and more. The ability to link to remote avatars A signature editor that is much like the new post editor (instead of having to know the bbcode in your head) The ability to control your own email information A much improved member list with the abiity to filter the list, add fields and sort on additional information Additional forum stats at the bottom of the page No advertisements (and trust me, more are coming to regular) More smileys Additional fonts Text effects (fade, rainbow color, strikethrough, glow, and many more The "Unread Message" flags remain unread even after closing the browser and coming back in. No longer do you have to read everything at once or lose what's been read and what hasn't. Clicking on the orange "new post" flag brings up the first unread post in the thread -- no matter how many times the thread has bee visited during the current session. (During the game yesterday, I probably checked the thread 50 times by clicking on that and going directly to the first unread message. So much easier than trying to remember what was the last page I looked at and going back there by page number.) All smileys now appear on the posting screen, so there's no need to hit the "see more smilies" link to get to the good ones! On a trial basis, this new mod hides any forum that doesn't have new posts. So the ones that don't get much traffic don't take up space on the screen. Only the forums (fora?) with activity show up on the index page. I've change the text edit box for messages from tiny to a more reasonable size (15 lines and 35 characters wide to 25 lines and 50 characters wide). I found a way to have long text lines (like aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh) not stretch the screen so that a scroll bar becomes necessary. Premium users don't have to see the advertisements (and there's just going to be more and more in the regular forum. And those of you that are looking at them, please, click through and buy stuff! I'm trying to find interesting stuff to advertise, at least. :) ).
  22. Coming into the season, Barrett had 4 years, 152 days of service time. He will be arby eligible after this year, then a free agent after 2005.
  23. I would, but I'm laughing too hard to type much.
  24. Please I would love you see you name them. Harvey and Kelton? Name four more please. Kelton has never put up the numbers of Murton over a whole season. Harvey and Dubois, I'll grant. After that... I'm stumped.
