Never heard of him. :P Seriously, though, if they wanted to trade for Delgado wouldn't they use Blalock for those purposes, rather than deal him for some relatively unproven pitchers from us and then have to deal more players for Delgado? It depends on the approach they want to take. If I were GM and my my goal was to compete with Anaheim and Oakland in 2006, I'd look to: 1. Deal Soriano for pitching, move Young back to 2B 2. Sign Furcal to play SS and be a huge upgrade to the defense 3. Sign a free agent innings-eater that has a demonstrated ability to keep the ball in the park I'd personally try to hold on to the young pitching they have in Diamond, Volquez and the other one. That guy is good. His name looks cool on his jersey, too :P Hey, shoot me. I'm too lazy to look up the third best pitcher in an AL team's system. :D
