  1. Flight time from XXX to Tokyo: Seattle: 10h 40m Chicago: 13h 20m LA: 12h 10m SD: 12h 10m SF: 11h 20m Honestly, it's not that much difference.
  2. Is Mills out of options? Otherwise he'll be at Iowa.
  3. 11 rushes for -6 yards. Blech
  4. They're better than we are.
  5. I wonder how cheaply David Price could be had. In addition to the elbow concerns, he got into it with Eck and the team was not happy with the way Price handled the whole thing. He's also got an opt out after 2018. So, if he does well, you'll only get him for a year. If he sucks, you're stuck with a lousy contract. If you'd take on the whole contract, Boston might practically give him away right now. I'd imagine it would take a good player to get them to share in the salary risk, though. Probably not worth it, but I'd at least check in with Dombrowski to see if something could be worked out.
  6. these are jesse rogers's opinions (as opposed to him reporting who tomorrow's starting pitcher is, which he can at least sort of do) so the correct way to look at them is to expect the opposite to be true Either way, its a very lackluster off season, in my mind. The main point was, what if that IS our off season? Its not beyond the realm of possibility, with no trades and looking towards the 2018 class. I'd be okay with it, tbh. I'd make some different choices after Cobb, but I think that still puts us as favorites in the division. I'm sure they'd make some additions at mid-season. It really, really makes me wish we had moved on Verlander, though.
  7. Yeah, if that's his new level of performance he will be shooting up the rankings in 2018
  8. Wow - seven pitchers. What a change from past years. I can't believe how early they got this out.
  9. B2B, welcome back. Have you come to terms with Theo being awesome yet?
  10. Honestly, I wouldn't be entirely surprised by Russell getting traded this offseason. He's got enough red flags that they may want to move on. If it happens, I'll trust that the front office has information that leads them to believe that's the right thing to do. Based on the information we currently have, though, it would take more than Iglesias + Lorenzen for me to pull the trigger.
  11. Inman is a FA after this season. Well, shoot.
  12. All that said, Inman should have caught that one.
  13. He had to stretch to max extension to get his hands to it, with no defensive presence to force the throw there. Good NFL QBs put that throw two feet further down. he wasnt stretched to "max extension" he was in a dead run and the ball when right between his hands. It was a good place to throw the ball. two feet lower and its just as easily behind him He led him just a bit too much and threw it high enough to put his receiver in jeopardy of getting clocked if he caught the ball. A more accurate throw is an easy catch and gives the receiver a chance to make a move before getting hit. That's also the kind of ball that will go off the receivers hands and get picked off. Those high balls over the middle are dangerous.
  14. He had to stretch to max extension to get his hands to it, with no defensive presence to force the throw there. Good NFL QBs put that throw two feet further down. Sure thing boss. Good NFL QBs never need their receivers to make catches on balls that don't hit then in the numbers. I wouldn't go out of my way to call that an accurate throw. But it wasn't a bad throw, either. Now, the one where he had bellamy wide open was horrible.
  15. I'm really happy they opened it up in the fourth quarter. There were some very positive signs once the stopped going run-run-pass every time. Mitch definitely has some tools to work with, but he's got a long way to go before he's a finished product. This was a really good learning game for him. Inman looks like he could be a really solid pickup. What will be his status for next year?
  16. what a shank
  17. Hundley has looked pretty decent. That was great touch on that throw.
  18. Sorry to bring this up, but they've run the ball much more effectively than us today.
  19. Thanks for running OB
  20. Probably the right call to kick the FG there.
  21. Inman is looking like a good pickup
  22. Weird that they have some success when they mix things up a bit more.
  23. Wing it over his head OB, then. Or at his feet. Don't take that sack.
  24. btw - how much easier would this offseason be if we had Verlander on staff already?
  25. The Orioles were 25th in hitting fWAR and 26th in pitching fWAR last year. They need help everywhere. They really should be looking to trade Machado and going full rebuild. Schoop and Machado are clear assets. Beef was their third best position player last year and he's an FA. Here's a rundown of their other guys... Adam Jones is in clear decline and will be in the last year of his contract. They should really trade him for whatever they can get. Trey Mancini is someone I honestly overlooked, but needs to be in the mix at 1B/DH Chris Davis...who knows if he'll hit 50 HR or bomb out of the league. It seems to vary each year. But count him at 1B/DH, too. Seth Smith is an FA Joey Rickard sucks hard Who else is there? I know Baltimore doesn't ever face the reality of their situation, but they're awful. They have no chance this year in that division. Gausman has perpetually disappointed them and Britton may be broken. They really should jump on a solid offer and then do what they can about getting maximum value for Machado.
