  1. btw - I'm buying into the idea that Willson is suddenly good at framing.
  2. At least we tied the game. Almora ain't getting it done.
  3. Won't matter after this round happer. After this Hoerner Homer?
  4. Won't matter after this round happer.
  5. I feel like there's a HIMYM joke in there somewhere.
  6. Chatwood with 10 k's through six innings and only 73 pitches? What kind of insanity do we live in these days?
  7. To be fair, it was garbage time when he came in
  8. From cubs.com: The underlining is mine. How many times the past few years has "additional testing not been necessary" and then months later we find out that it was something serious? Just pay for the bloody MRI / catscan already.
  9. Cubs win; Reds, Brewers & Cards lose. Good day.
  10. ...and Gregory Polanco still sucks.
  11. Brewers blow a 6-3 lead in the 7th, Pitt still batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd.
  12. With the five run lead, I was more disappointed in the walk than the hr.
  13. Lindblom came out of the Brewers start today with an injury, too.
  14. If you come back out to start the next inning, you're back on the hook for three total batters.
  15. love love love Javy taking Garrett deep
  16. Yeah, the pen isn't *this* bad. We're fortunate to have some blowouts early here to be able to give some guys some innings to sort things out. Once the roster starts to narrow down, guys like Maples, Norwood and Underwood (all the wood's, basically) will be gone. You've got Wick, Ryan, Jeffress & Tepera all looking pretty good right now. Should be able to find a decent low leverage option or two between Sadler, Winkler & Brothers. There's also options in South Bend that might be able to come up and be effective. I think they'll be able to build a decent enough pen out of all that to get by. But they need to get Kimbrel right to make it a really good pen.
  17. :flythew: :flythew: Glad I went to bed early. :D
  18. Okay - no worries. Never had a doubt.
