  1. Pitt over Sea 2-0 bottom 1 Cincy over As 3-0 top 2 LAA over Hou top 2
  2. Pitt is all over Seattle in the 1st. Reds are about to cut loose on Oakland.
  3. Sammy now just down to 336 from Reggie for All Time Whiff King.
  4. Marshall now at 69 pitches. Looks like a lot of work for both bullpens tonight.
  5. Tejada at 75 pitches now, probably 1 inning left for him. 255 IP in 69 games is an avg of 3.7 IP per game for the pen...that is sucktacular. And to further my thought, this is Oakland A's baseball we are playing tonight. We really need to stop this and get back to the HR and K thing before we confuse our fans into the chance we actually know how to play baseball.
  6. Rangers bullpen has been cooked this year...255 IP in 69 games, thats 30 more IP than the NYY for gods sakes.
  7. Tejada is already nearing the 70 pitch mark....going to get a big heaping helping of the pen at this rate.
  8. Barrett and Jones with a hit in the same inning- a sure sign the Apocalypse is tonight.
  9. He was definitely the bad cop with Jack and Vince, but if you remember the Cubs teams he was calling, its hard to believe all of them werent raging alcoholics.
  10. Josh Lewin worked for us 97. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Lewin He is quickly trying to work up to #3 on most hated ex-Cub announcers behind Milo Hamilton and Steve Stone (although i am not one of the guys who hates Milo).
  11. Why? Does Felix wear his shades in the evening too? Felix will Never Surrender. Well I cant help falling in love with Felix.
  12. Why? Does Felix wear his shades in the evening too?
  13. Thats the Sammy i remember. Giants need to send Lincecum back to AAA or AA. Teams have adjusted to him and he is getting wacked.
  14. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AtSbWNs8sGymnrv.dsWCpdoi0bYF?slug=ap-yankeesmoves&prov=ap&type=lgns Man alive. Things are getting rough at 1b for the Yankees. Cant believe Cashman hasnt pulled a trigger somewhere. Phillips as a rule V selection (pronounced 5) is eligible to be shipped back to the Orioles. Dont think Phillips is the answer. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7404
  15. ha ha also ibl viewtopic.php?t=39993
  16. Chad Billingsley is going to have first shot at his spot in the rotation.
  17. Cardinals just made it official. Thompson and Wellmeyer will move up a day in the rotation, Ohka will throw after Wellmeyer, and Wells heads to long relief/outer siberia in the pen. Oh this is going to be bad, bad, bad. Next thing we will find out is they have fixed Carpenters arm completely and he returns to form.
  18. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2909579 Schilling has MRI and may be headed to the DL. His drop in velocity is disconcerting to RedSux supporters.
  19. Of course he will hit 600 against us. Just another swift kick in the nuts from the Sisters Fate. As for how i will feel: And just for Raisin (as ambivalent is a big word: http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/ambivalent)
  20. It's not easy for every GM to eat $5.6M. That's how much the Cubs still owe Eyre for the remainder of 2007 and all of 2008. Its also how much money we are paying Jones per year, or thereabouts. Think about what you could do with the 10M you are paying those 2 bozos.
  21. http://www.prosieben.de/imperia/md/images/spielfilm_und_serie/Numb3rs/allgemeine_bilder/numb3rs_02_400_150.jpg
  22. Exactly, except a couple notes. As for the A's they have Piazza coming back and have said they want him playing C, b/c of Cust. He has extended his rehab to accomodate them. Also they want to get their kid Suzuki some playing time to see if he can be the catcher of the future for them. And it does give the As 4M in space this year that Billy can play with at the wire. As i said, the difference between Kendall and Barrett is 1 WS. Both are having an awful year at the plate. Kendall now is probably avg to slightly below avg defensively, whereas Barrett is a black hole of disgrace upon defense. Their Marcel #s are similar, but Barrett has a higher projected OPS. Both are slightly better in the 2nd half typically offensively. And Kendall is stuck in a pitchers park atm, whereas Barrett is in a hitters park, so their may be some kick in the #s there also. As for 2008, i am convinced that Ronny needs another shot at SS. He is hitting 366 at Iowa atm. I would also like to see Murton getting another shot in RF, but would not be opposed to the Cubs hitting the FA market if they could, to pick up another power hitter for RF. Depending on what we could get for Barrett, I would like to see the Cubs go out and get a prospective C. But i think there are places where you definitely need defense and intangibles at the cost of offense and C is one of those spots.
