Sadness. Everytime the Cubs come to Coors, we irritate the Rockies and their fans because we are loud, vocal, drunk, and outnumber them 4 to 1. Its a sea of blue with purple polka dots. A few years ago, the Rockies openly complained to the newspaper and league office after the raucousness of the Sosa and Prior show one night left them speechless. I think the Cubs won something like 15 to 2 and Mark and Sammy were just lights out, Sammy hit 2 or 3 HRs in that one, including a long long long one into the upper deck. One of the most memorable games i have ever seen. For their part, the Rockies and the parasites that live near the field jack up prices on us, but thats cool, b/c we are going to see the Cubbies. They also really jacked up prices on the Yankees fans this past week. Parking near the field was $60 in some spots. With that said, we have apparently been dethroned as the most obnoxious fans. After the Yankees visited last week, the RMN ran a poll and the Yankees fans are now viewed as the most obnoxious to grace Coors by a margin of 43% to 28%. they have a hearing on why the BlackSox think the Umpires missed the ruling and let them have their say. they then rule against them, and move on. in the unlikelihood (and i cant remember the last time it happened) that the protest is upheld, the Cubs and BlackSox have to replay the game at the point where the decision was made. at least thats the way i think it works.

Deal voided by Royals. Bradley says he got hurt in his last game with A's and has a nasty oblique strain. Dayton Moore says the A's didnt know about it, so he has no idea if it is true or not. Either way, they cancelled the trade.

Rotoworld has described Dempster's Injury as a strained oblique. He will be sidelined a few days and will throw sometime mid week next week to see how it is. Expected not to go on DL. Howry will sub until then.
