    I am going Bush/Cheney, because at least the Cubs have won 15 games this season. The Knicks won 23. The Texans- i have no idea what is going on there. seems like they have the right people, just doing the wrong things. Dan Reeves is brought in to help the situation, and they still end up letting Casserly go with Mario Williams over Bush. Spears/K-Fed- again with the car seat. some people should just be sterilized.

    Billy Martin many many times Lasorda went through it in the mid 80s. Sparky Anderson in 1971 are 3 that come to mind with a guy down in Atlanta.....Bobby Cox. Think Chuck Tanner had some trouble in Pittsburgh too.

    a- i was joking but b- we need someone from Cuba to help Mr Valdes when he gets to the majors. Although Contreras or El Duque could help him make the adjustment, Mr Sanchez would be a nice fallback and utility OF. And why throw off on Goodwin? He is a very nice person and one of the classiest Cubs of the new millenium.

    no need to...Zito has already said Cleveland or Cincinnati will be his home next year. His best friend in baseball is Bronson Arroyo. So i will let you figure that one out.

    Mabry owns Livan....so he definitely is starting. .571 lifetime against Livan. Neifi has hit .267, so its a good bet he will be playing as well. Blanco/Barrett have also done well against him, hitting .300/.400. Walker .300 and Zman 1 for 1 also. Aram has even hit .316 lifetime vs him. This might be a slumpbuster, as the Cub roster is .289 vs Livan lifetime.

    The People that should go are: Pierre- Pie will be ready by next season Bynum- no explanation really needed ARamirez- .806 OPS lifetime and no durability (only 3 seasons 140+ games) Kerry Wood- cant justify spending $10M on someone who is injured all the time Blanco- an absolute disgrace Maddux- had a great career, but it is time to let it go Hairston- not worth the money it will take to bring him back Murton/Jones- one of the 2 needs to go for power/OPS Rusch- terrible career. had one great season as a Cub. bad investment. Thats 1/3rd of the team, a pretty good start.

    Adam Kennedy? yuck. I think Lewis gets the shot next year if Walker isnt back. (yes i know EP has the majority of the time at WT, but its time to see if he can or he cant after being AA MVP last year). Murton and Jones one or both need to be gone. Pie will be CF next season. Between ARam (.275/.327/.806), Maddux, and Wood being gone, will have about 35 million to play with. I would go after Melvin Mora (.282/.363/.818) at 3b. He is a better hitter, higher OBP, more OPS, and a heck of a lot more durable than Ramirez ever thought about being. I would then heavily pursue Escobar or Contreras to add another SP (i am not 100% convinced on Miller yet). Another top priority would be finding a decent backup defensive catcher that could start if there would be an emergency spot on the IF that Barret would need to take over. You could then use Soto to come up to the backup role. I would also invest in a 2 or 3 field OF like a Frank Catalonatto. Not really worried about the pen or the other starter positions. Think the minor league system is good for that. And i would definitely get Alex Sanchez from the Reds.
