    Johnny B was being crafty. He was pushing Eyre to the limit b/c Dempster is it. Fortunately for the Cubs, he needs work and used to be a starter. So he should have some gas. The Cards now have no one home. We just have to somehow score before they hit a HR. Geaux Cubbies!

    Most instance i can find of Cubs GIDP for a team in a game is 4. They did 3 in 1999 and 2001 in games.

    Lol. Here is a funny stat. Joe Torre holds the record for most GIDP in a game by a single player for the NL with 4 on July 21st, 1975 for the Mets. Thats worse than a golden sombrero. Wonder what the technical term for that is.

    NL Record for most GIDP by a single team in a game is 7 by the SF Giants in 1969. The Braves and Cubs hold the most in a NL game together with 8 from 1928. 5 for Boston and 3 for Chicago. I am still looking.

    i am looking too. i have found that the season high is held by Mr Santo who GIDP 27 times in 1973.
