    And i was wrong earlier, WVU was eliminated by virtue of Cincy's Win tonight. When RU/WVU get together, RU gets the bid if they win and Louisville goes if WVU wins. So whomever it is, i think they will play NDU in the Orange Bowl.

    Well WVU would score, but it would be a blow out. WVU defense is extremely suspect. And dont dis Wisky. We are 11-1, with our only loss to Big Blue in AA. We only lose 4 starters next year, and just under 75% of our team is underclassmen. PJ Hill became only the 7th Freshman ever to rush for 1500 yds, and Wisconsin became the first school to have 2- Ron Dayne was our other.

    Actually they have 1 automatic in now, so they will likely draw the USC/ND loser. And vance, you really really really dont want to beat Arkansas. Why? Cause then you will get to see Mr P J Hill up close and personal in the Cap 1 Bowl. The scary thing is we only lose 12 guys next year and only 4 are starters.

    As much as i hate Alou (and i really really really do), that honor belongs to Bernie Mac for angering the Baseball Gods with his rendition of Take Me Out to the Ballgame in the 7th inning. The very last place on Earth that needed to be done because of the Ruthian Curse that was still alive and well from the 1932 Series. One of these days i will get even, even if it is the last thing i do.

    Well he is 63. Only Bobby Cox is older than Piniella of the NL Managers left after the departure of Alou, Robinson, and McKeon- who were ancient by any standards short of Julio Franco. You knew that the peeps pushing for Joe would bring this up, just as surely as the peeps pushing for Lou would bring up the McCarthy/McGraw angle with Torre.

    You think it is easy being in the Top 10 Party Schools for the last 25 years? Or being #1 the last two years? It comes at a price, which is usually a hangover. But we will somehow try to soldier on.

    You were in the wrong bar. Madison is known for having different bars for different beers (one of the many reasons it has the highest per capita bars per people in the US). In downtown, places like The Pub are Miller Establishments. The Bud bars down there are near Frat Row or up towards the Capitol like The Plaza. The Irish Pub about midway on State St. serves mostly Coors and Euro beers. And its like that all over town. Budweiser is trying to change this. They are decreasing prices in the city and have openly announced an attack on Miller. Miller has countered, so it looks like good times for the Kiddies this coming fall. There is an article about the Beer Wars on The Daily Cardinal's site that was written in April. It is a good read.

    Except there is a difference between sports. In baseball unlike football, they throw an object 90+ MPH at you. There has to be a level of trust between the pitcher and batter. This kind of behavior does not engender itself towards fostering that relationship. The media just didnt spell it out like that. Sure they can hit you in football, but it wont kill you (paralyze maybe). Baseball is a whole different can of worms. Many many people have died playing over the years.

    We all know that the Cubs are last in several offensive categories, including runs scored (we have 207). Without looking, look who is just ahead of us at 224? Not FLA they have 238 after the 13 run explosion today. And its not Pitt or Washington. You will be shocked for sure.

    no. the ERA increases because of inherited runners. Kyle's WHIP has gone up as has ERA, although the average has stayed the same. That shows wildness. and Mr Wang saved the game today. Of course Kyle had pitched 5 straight days and it was time for a day off. But we will see if Wang comes back to close or the Farns stays closer until Rivera gets back.

    Ooo Ooo Oooo I know why Rocket won yesterday. There was a hole ripped into the space/time continuum by the folks at Ohio St. They finally put away their coloring books long enough to figure out how Australia got seperated from the original main continent by using some complex math type calculations. Obviously their teachers were imported from either the Big Blue, the Big Red, or the Big Purple. A Big Bang So right there, BANG! The whole universe just about inverted into itself, stupified at the reality of the Buckeyes actually providing some sort of useful knowledge to the world. I am pretty sure that it was a one time only deal, so we should never have to worry about it again. Back to being Felony St of the Big 10 for the Clarett dolls, and a Big GO Wisky! GEAUX CUBBIES!!!!!!!

    First, there is quite a bit of difference between 1.67 and 1.34. Second, Howry's WHIP goes off at 1.25/1.17/1.27/1.50 and 1.24. That is a huge difference between the Farn's numbers. Farn's simply walks too many people. And he blew yet another save tonight. His teammates helped him out in the 9th or he may have needed an escort on the way back to Yankeeland.

    released to make room for Dopirak at West Tenn. Cherry also went on the DL with a bum middle finger. Sure hate it for Adam, he seemed like a really nice guy. Have seen him play many times and he always played well with a good attitude. Just couldnt seem to find that next level.

    Technically Wood could go tomorrow on normal rest. We could use the Iowa shuttle to bring up Jae or Angel by Sunday.
