The rally killer label is something that you can blame the saber geeks for in this case. Dunn's Babip is very avg. career wise. He seemingly only walks, k's, and hits HR. Some GMs only really want guys who can put the ball into play....but obviously Hendry isnt one of those guys. Havent looked at it in a while, but would be interested to see how the shift has been affecting his avg. Either way, there is cause for concern for a team in getting him that needs him to advance runners ie continue rallys(most contenders have multiple run producers) instead of just driving them in (only 1 or 2 run producers). The Cubs however dont have the money long term to do a deal (with the impending sale) b/c a new contract would have to be worked out as his options for 08 and 09 are voided upon trade and it just wouldnt make sense to do it for just this year. And i really dislike Steve Phillips- not only as a GM, but as a human being.
