Would Guillen have made the play. He isnt the best SS around. No, Guillen doesn't get to that ball, IMO. If you get a chance to see the replay on that one, watch what happens to Polanco. I was like you guys, the first 3 or 4 times i saw the play, I was like how did the Neifury get to that ball (then i stupidly remembered he is a Supernatural force and it is not meant for mere mortals to understand his power). Polanco got absolutely crushed on the turn, like a QB getting hit on the blind side. Not every 2b would have stood in there and taken that kind of shot for a teammate. Bill Hall was trying his darndest to stop it. Kudos to him for taking that blow and getting the throw out in time.
  3. Those runners just didnt appear out on the basepaths by themselves. Besides if you drink the Kool Aid around here, you would know that Barrett can do no wrong. He is the Golden Child. [sarcasm] His defense has never cost us a single game this entire year. Any small defensive deficiencies he has are more than made up with his awesome offensive prowess as he is a force to be reckoned with. The .246/.305/.733 line isnt bad at all, because it fails to capture the true depth and meaning of the force that is Michael Barrett and the positive contribution he makes to his team. For those that dont understand this, we can only hope that they can become so enlightened.[/sarcasm]
  4. He has to be gambling against the team. No one could be this stupid. Why Loogys dont exist. Sometimes they need to eat innings to help a bum-rushed pen. Obviously he cant do it, so we need to find someone that can.
  5. More partial to Stimpy myself.
  6. Chalk it up boys. Now 0-4. Bullpen is trashed. Need your "Loogy" boy to step up and swallow a couple of innings tonight and he chokes miserably. What a freaking waste of talent. DFA immediately. Bring me PIGS that fly!!!!!! Does put us back on pace for 42 bullpen losses, blowing by the record of 39.
  7. Woot...back on record pace to break all time loss record for the pen. 41.6 games at current pace. Should be easy if we dont dfa Ohman and Eyre soon.
  8. Will Ohgirly is my least favorite Cubs by far and away.
  9. He was freaking 3-5 with 4 RBIs tonight.
  10. Ausmus drives in the game winner, chicken dinner in the bottom of the 11th. the astros beat the fighting billy beeners 5-4.
  11. Fighting Billy Beeners walk El Cabello to load bases for Ensberg with 2 outs.
  12. Yankees win 7th in a row. Astros threatening in the bottom of the 10th. Cards lose.

  14. Please stop that. Ya, that should be an auto-ban for anyone that does that.
  15. Ryan needs to be patient and let this guy walk him.
  16. This guy threw 2 IPs last nite and is wild as all hell. But he has a good ERA, just a lousy whip.
  17. blind acorn meet the hog. Bushspeak.
  18. Seattle has very good left handed bullpen help, so we may be dead. If this gets to Putz, it is over with. He has a .58 WHIP. 1.23 ERA and 18/18
  19. Gonzo is dead. He killed himself a couple of years ago.
  20. fontenot is now 8 for 16...doesnt appear that he is ready to go back to Iowa without a fight.
  21. need to score now or in the 8th, their closer is automatic.
  22. It doesnt matter who was batting. 87 pitches vs. 95? A manager probably would let someone stay in with 87 and a lead. 95 probably not.
