  1. goto hell kelvin sampson ... karma for that cheating pile of garbage
  2. I was wondering this about Kiermeier as well. Is be a free agent after 2020? Could we get him for Happ and one of our top arms? Does anyone think that is too much? Massive overpay
  3. but i'm giving him the attention he wants, so really the joke's on me Yes, after trying to blame Dino Laurenzi (the tester) for a few months then finally doing the right thing ... bleep braun ... straight punk
  4. looks like most of those were balls with the few strikes being right down the middle ... perhaps he needs some time with Crash Davis and Annie Savoy:
  5. Trevor Hoffman should not be in the hall
  6. If they played in a real conference they would have been lucky to win 9 games this year
  7. Yeah, well you drink pee so your jokes aren't as funny Well, your mother is a Cardinals fan....
  8. Sticking with the title of the thread .... I'll take "the bye week" -3.5
  9. It's not an addition 5 years, is it? Just added to the contract? Replaces the old deal and adds a year. The contract runs through 2022. Per ESPN link
  10. Fixed fixed
  11. of course he's better...he was drafted before Trout...duh
  12. That's true. OTOH, 3/$77m for Stanton to hit you 90+ HRs to close out his 20s before opting out is not some crazy unlikely outcome either. I waffle on Stanton because because, but he's the highest upside play anyone can make at the deadline (or the month after) this year. Well, him or guys who are even less likely to move like Stroman or Archer.... I don't think he opts out. I can't see anyone giving him a similar contract to what he would opt out of. see above ... davell beat me to it, and said it better.
  13. Matt Kemp 8 yrs / 160 M 3.7 War with two years after this season left.
  14. There has never and probably never will be a relief pitcher worthy of the HOF! A relief pitcher is A FAILED STARTER. A mediocre forth or fifth starter makes a great reliever. Hello Eric Gange and Dennis Eckersley. If you only look at the top three starters from each team every year there are at least 90 pitchers that could do that job equal or better then the best relievers. Anyone remember when Smoltz took a little break from starting to be one of the best relievers in the game.
  15. Triple-A pitcher Jordan Pries Article on ESPN here
  16. Frank Thomas played 969 @ 1B
  17. You're actually allowed to go 5% over slot on your pool without penalty. Yags' number includes that 5%. If Hatch is going back to college all they have to do is offer some % (I think it is 60%) and then they still get that slot money to spend right?
  18. When Contreras does not catch CF Dexter 2B Zobrist 3B Bryant 1B Rizzo LF Contreras RF Heyward SS Russell C Noodle Arm/Ross P When Contreras is catching CF Dexter 2B Zobrist LF Bryant 1B Rizzo C Contreras 3B Baez RF Heyward SS Russell P
  19. Houston at 6 to 1 looks dam good
  20. Oh right of course just when they start the epic 15 run inning comeback the umps stop the game...
  21. I blame Bryant. If he was a real superstar like Trout or Ortiz ...etc he would already have 10 more home runs this game and we would still be winning.
