  1. Adding Mizzou not only adds a natural rival for Illinois and Iowa, but also makes for an easy East/West split into two divisions (along the Illinois/Indiana border). Maintains Wis/Minn, Wis/Ill, Ill/NW, MSU/UM, UM, OSU, IU/PUR, etc.
  2. who would go into the sec to make it a 12 team conference again? i guess they might go after georgia tech. Bolded.
  3. The possession at the 5:00 mark showed so many things wrong with how Gordon approaches a game.
  4. Luol! Board, Baseline to baseline, Bucket
  5. Doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose?
  6. Hitting is by far the most important aspect of any postition player, so there's no distinction there. Is this your rationale behind the "Lee for Choi" wasn't a steal?
  7. On the bright side, we still have 400 pages to go until Brian Roberts territory. 236
  8. Check your PMs, Donnie. CONFIRMED!!
  9. But he has also hosed them Lee for Choi was a salary dump. Not sure that's the best comparison. And Willis et. al for Alfonseca/Clement is debatable. A salary dump 28 other GMs were also able to grab. This is a stupid arguement that is always repeated.
  10. Any idea why Edmonton has played only 3 home games and 12 on the road?
  11. Win (Regulation, OT or Shootout) 2 pts Loss in OT or Shootout 1 pt (OTL) 7 wins is 14 points, 3 OTL is 3 pts, making 17
  12. He's not in baseball at all, but handles financial investments for players. Yeah, I deff intended this to be a FWIW post, mostly antecdotal.
  13. Who is your friend? BigBird? No offense, but...............
  14. lawl I know, not trying to pass on speculation about a trade. But... weren't you? No, just saying, random text came across. Nothing more, nothing less.
  15. lawl I know, not trying to pass on speculation about a trade.
  16. I know this is completely useless information, but a decently connected friend in AZ just sent a congrats text. I followed up and he confirmed this was done. Again, who knows, who cares. But others are at least hearing similar things.
  17. [-X I wish he were waving a different finger. If you happen to get kicked in the balls today, its all a result of karma. Me or him?

  19. Dude, just wash it already.
  20. Hat daily Hoodie on the weekends.
  21. I used to go to get all the autographs, but the long lines and general rudeness of some people just faded by expectations away. My general fad towards autograph seeking is almost no existent now. I used to get so excited but I look at it now like WTF would I want Vance Law, Rick Wilkins, Corey Patterson, Jim Hendry, & Jeff Pico on 1 autographed ball for. I won't go for the autographs, I will go for the atmosphere, drinking with the players, and getting cool Cubs merchandise. My wife got me a Cubs seat for valentines day that had a Kerry Wood plaque on it when he struck out 20 batters. Plus where else can one get their hands on a game worn Cole Liniak jersey for $25? Or a game used Jason Dubois bat for $15? Very Nice... 2 years ago I just went to the hotel after the convention was over to hang out with Cubs players in the bar and hotel lobby. Lee Smith and Bobby Dernier are cool guys to just talk baseball with. Listening to Lee Smith talk about his pitches while sharing a Budweiser was just so cool. Mike Wuertz tried to hit on every girl there, including my sis. I talk with one of the old Cubs trainers about steroids (not on the Cubs, but just his general thoughts), why Mark prior was always injured, and what his role was for weight training, preparation, etc. Heck, I bought Larry Rothschild a beer and he declined saying he was done for the night. My wife shared the same thing, adding that he was absolutely plastered.
  22. A) TB reminds me of an NBA game, not MLB B) Worst. anthem. ever.
