  1. LET'S GO CUBS!!! LET'S GO CUBS!!! LET'S GO CUBS!!!
  2. mind as well hit for himself. I smell a Barretgasm in the works.
  3. Swordsman for poster of the month with all these upbeat posts.
  4. When does MLB.COM start putting the "Elimination number" into their standings brackets?
  5. Seriously lolly-gagged? Ok, maybe not lolly-gagged if attempted by you and me, but to me... if he is SOOOO GOOD... AJones should have made that catch. Corey would have. I'm where triples go to die. Also where double go to turn into inside the parkers.
  6. ARAM would be nice in this spot.
  7. So do bar owners across Chicago.
  8. Todd already PH, he is done for the day.
  9. Because they're the Cubs. There is a reason that this team hasn't even lucked into 1 World Series win in the last 97 years. It's because when there is a common sense decision to be made, the Cubs do just the opposite. It worked for Costanza though.
  10. They skipped Williams last Friday in Colorado, Prior started.
  11. For those keeping track at home, that equates to a 178.2 pitch complete game.
  12. Watch those anti-Crey posts: you might get called mean by one of the Corey drones. haha.. Oh well, come attack me Corey-fans. Your guy sucks. Irony? This coming from the guys whoes handle is Rusch33. Did I say Glendon was any better? Glendon is sucking too. You are correct, you didnot back Rusch. You statement when coupled with your name was funny though, imo.
  13. Well clearly he would be our top outfielder. I am in no way taking away from his offensive or defensive abilities. I could only dream of him being in our lineup everyday.

  15. Well he was at 122 when the at-bat started. The time to complain was then, not after the count was 2-2 and there were 5 foul balls.
  16. Fot those of us online, how do to runs score on an infield hit? And has the ball left the infield this inning?
  17. What happened? Lee hit it really good, looked to be going out, but wind held it up... hit at the back of the warning track. Instead of camping under it, Jones lolly-gagged and didn't get back on it fast enough, thus having to ole it and the sun messed up his catch attempt. I absolutely LOVE IT. He would rather look good than play the game right.

  19. Didn't see the play (watching online) BUT>>>> Aramis's injury spooked him, was afraid he would tear up his leg as well.
  20. Let me defend Andruw for a second here. He's not lolly-gagging, he's just that good. Sure, if you or I were out there we'd probably feel most secure camping under the ball and catching with two hands. Andruw obviously doesn't need to do that. I can remember two defensive miscues by him (not that I watch him all the time, but still): 1. He went to catch it like he always does, it hit the heel of his glove and fell out, bounced off his knee, and he caught it bare-handed, not unlike Corey on Monday night. 2. He didn't hustle after a short fly ball that dropped in front of him, and Cox immediately pulled him from the game. I am sure he (Andruw) will never do that again. He's the best outfielder I've ever seen, and with his hitting this year, he's one of the first guys I would take to start a team. Being good is no excuse for a half-baked attempt. Do what you are supposed to do and that ball does not bounce off the heel of his glove. (Yes he did ctach t hat one you mentioned, but I have seen others fall)
  21. Welcome to your 2005 Chicago Cubs! ummm.....
