  1. Just messing with you. Keep up the good work for those who can't watch the game. I think Fred might be Wally Pipped pretty soon. :D Cant argue with being compared to Fred  Bottom 5th Glendon Rusch singles to CF Matt Murton singles to LF, Rusch to 2nd Neifi Perez out on a sac bunt, Rusch to 3rd, Murton to 2nd Derrek Lee intentionally walked Jeromy Burnitz singles to RF, Rusch and Murton score, Lee out at 3rd Nomar Garciaparra grounds into FC, 5-4, Burnitz out at 2nd 2 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors, 1 LOB Cards 3, Cubs 4 http://allstandups.com/order/productimages3/upfred1.jpg
  2. Being at work watching on gamecast, nice not to have to watch the celebration after this game. Being at tomorrows game for the Cards party would be miserable.
  3. He has a date at 4, needed to get himself out of there.
  4. Spoken like a sellout. Amen. This entire organization is one giant sellout. This team will never amount to anything until it stops being a line on a corporation's income statement. 100 million dollar pyroll is too low?
  5. By that logic why are they playing even one inning? Huh, don't know if I get you. I don't know if you saw what was going on at there, but it appeared to be raining very hard. If we lost one of our regular starters, no, it wouldn't be worth playing the series with the Cubs. I don't know if you noticed, but we've had a rash of position player injuries and we've also lost a player in the past from playing in sloppy conditions at Wrigley. I agree that cards Cards dont want to lose anybody, that only makes sense. However, there is a very VERY simple way to ensure this happens, less playing time. I am not saying this to try and get "cheap wins" or anything, I know the season is over. But if health was absolute priority #1, key players would not be playing in meaningless games.
  6. By that logic why are they playing even one inning?
  7. Hilarious I have laughed so much in this 9th inning, and now this. I LOVE IT!
  8. So wouldn't the highest score be 120 then? 12 teams, 10 categories? I thought it, but didn't want to push the issue.
  9. Bench
  10. I'll be good. I can't speak for the rest of Cardinal Nation. It's looking like a lot of Cub fans are dumping tickets for this series to make a little money. It should be a VERY red crowd for this weekend's games. ;) I can't blame you for living it up. If memory serves, the last visiting team to clinch a playoff berth at Wrigley was the '73 Mets, so it's not something that comes around all that often. I'm pretty much numb to the trappings of embarassment and fiasco thanks to Baker, so it won't bother me too much. Nothing short of a bunch of pathetic Sox rodents celebrating could ever top the horrible Marlins pennant party. Agreed. Though with a win this afternoon, and a Houston loss the Cards will get to celebrate in a hotel room or something of the sort. That should cut back on things at Wrigley following their next win (Last year they didnt clebrate after the Houston loss and their loss on the same day, waited until they won the following day IIRC)
  11. I must be missing something very simple, but 5X5 10 team, wouldnt the highest total be 100?
  12. Anyone want to go for a drink before the game?
  13. We don't give Miles enough props.
  14. Or hockey, the Blackhawks may actually be decent this season... Pardon my ignorance, but hockey is what?
  15. The Cards are going to clinch while they are in Chicago in all likely hood. They wont celebrate a Houston loss as the "clinchiner" as they didnt last year, so the only way to keep their bubbly off of our field is to sweep them. Christ.
  16. So you're saying theres a chance!
  17. He also got tossed from another game in April vs. the Reds. He's channeled his frustration towards his teamates this year, and also channeled it into hitting triples and home runs :D As an aside, he was already removed from the game in Arizona when he was tossed.
  18. Post first, then drink. Jk 8)
  19. Where can I see this stuff?
