  1. He lowered his ERA by 1.71 today Now he has lowered it by 2.18 today.
  2. I dont know, nobody ever buys it. It doesn't hurt aything to do, plus if the thirdbaseman takes even one step forward, it is worth the "ugliness" of it.
  3. Our three and five hitters have a combined zero hits. And we have 5 runs.
  4. So you're saying there's a chance...
  5. WE have our leadoff man. Maybe he should lead off when playing 3b for ARam Team record by leadoff hitter W L pct 1. Macias 2 0 1.000 2. Patterson 14 13 0.519 3. Perez 11 11 0.500 4. Hairston 27 28 0.491 5. Gerut 0 1 0.000 6. Lawton 7 11 0.389 7. Murton 0 2 0.000 Be real careful what you ask for !!! Just you watch Fred. AR being on the DL and Macias leading off will save this season (and all of our heads will explode!) I will gladly have an exploded head for a saved season.
  6. Dude, he just scored a run! What's with the hatred for Barrett? It's not hatred. I don't like or hate any of these guys as persons. It proves my point about Barrett and meaningful hits. Stats lie a lot of the time and batting average is the biggest liar of them all. Yeah, three at bats proves your point.
  7. Go Cubs Go! Everyone put that in your book.
  8. Enough with the stats and start watching him play. He is below average defensively and tight at the plate in pressure situations. And please don't quote me his average with men in scoring position. It's different hitting in a game when you're up by 7 or 8 than it it is when you're down a couple of runs.
  9. What about that Giants scrub some years back that set the record for most hits in a 3 or 4 game series with like 14 or something? Anyone else remember that? Only against the Cubs. You're right. It was Mike Benjamin. Long sideburns... See my post What year was that? Don't remember what year...

  11. You'll miss these losers after next month.
  12. Um, I could not disagree more with this statement. Seconded.
  13. Otis, don't forget, you're about to be poster #56
  14. yeah i wont. my honeymoon in hawaii isnt going to be stopped by non-Cubs played baseball in october... bums..... You all complain now. But when no ball is played on October 5th, on November 5th, on December 5th...we'll all be missing the Cubs.
  15. Why is "MacPhail" appropriate, but "Corey" is not? Not that I advocate either, but a double standard exists.
  16. That makes two in a row and arguably 3. 2 yes, 3 no.
  17. "Gibsons or Chop House for dinner tonight?"
  18. Seriously lolly-gagged? Ok, maybe not lolly-gagged if attempted by you and me, but to me... if he is SOOOO GOOD... AJones should have made that catch. Corey would have. Ok, you're right, I'd rather have Corey than Andruw. Thats was not what he said. Enough putting words in his mouth.
  19. double it and i still say over
