Really? Yes really. Hollandsworth for July: .206 .271 .365 .637 I don't remember, was Patterson that bad? The first move, fire Dusty. I think Patterson had worse numbers for an extended stretch of time.

They lose 7 in a row against crapphole teams and then go 6-1 on a west coast road trip against SD/LA They lose 8 in a row and are left for dead, then sweep the Marlins and are a scoring machine against the lowly pirates and reds. They ALMOST sweep the Cards in STL (really should have) but then struggle against SF and win 2 from behind in the 8th/9th. They look like a HS team for 17 innings against the sucky D-backs, and right when it looks like we are going to lose 2 and possibley the series and all playoff/wc momentum, they comeback and win in the 9th today. I don't get this team at all.

He singled and scored a run already. Not to mention that Macias had a nice AB. So folks are on a Macias bandWGN now? Remember the blind squirrel... No, but I'm not gonna just rip someone for the sake of ripping them, he had a good AB.

Cedeno had an o-fer yesterday. obviously he needs to sit on the bench and learn some more. meanwhile, Macias is a proven veteran and already knows everything. I'm the biggest cedeno fan on the planet, and he just looked outmatched yesterday, against a crappy lefty pitcher. Murton on the other hand hasn't looked out matched. I'd like to see Ronny worked in with regular playing time yes, but I don't want him thrown in to the fire. Macias had a great at-bat working vasquez as well. I think some people just like to complain when rookies don't play, regardless of the situation.

27 pitches in the first inning is quite good compared to yesterday with that scrub had 28 through 3.

There are enough situations to get on Hollandsworth and Dusty about, you don't need to be incorrect to do it. Jeez, no need to have a tizzy, I forgot about the double switch. Ridiculous and wrong? Anyone with eyes can see that Hollandsworth has not helped much. Aparrently you have not watched the Cubs much this year. The reason it was wrong is because of the double switch. It just seems like every post you make in the gamethread is ripping Holly. I know he sucks and shouldn't be playing, but it does get old after awhile.
