  1. He needs to tell Dusty to sit him. Or he isn't getting a day off.
  2. Cubs: No HR=No Runs. And Derek Lee has done nothing over the last month with RISP. Without RISP he's been good, with them, bad.
  3. Well at least the new guy doesn't want to play like a Cub.
  4. Myers has been a pretty good pitcher this year. :(
  5. They aren't even good at that lately.
  6. They are good at sucking against soft tossing lefty's, and pitchers they've never seen before.
  7. Yes you're right, Murton is our savior, he would have taken us to the promise land single handedly. Seriously, if you think that's our biggest problem, you got another thing coming.
  8. It's interesting you have "Play Cedeno" in bold letters. Who's fault is it that we have no idea if Cedeno could be an everyday SS? Who's fault is it when Remlinger is brought in yet again against a lefty to give up a hit? How about continuing to start "Holly" when he's hitting .250? How about never trying a squeeze play when the O is struggling? Oh I forgot, "My guys don't bunt" another Dusty excuse. Yeah, tonight is all on the players, but no way is Dusty getting off easy in my book for this teams failures. The items I paranthesized are examples of excuses given by Dusty, not the fans. Who on this team do you feel comfortable asking to lay down a sac bunt, let alone a squeeze bunt? Maybe I was taught and told wrong, but you don't learn fundamentals at the major league level. That's what little league, high school, college, and the minors are for. I don't know of one major league pitcher when asked, "What are you supposed to do when the ball is hit to the right side?" answer, "I don't know. Maddux, Hairston.
  9. Basically Barrett didn't have to throw the ball anywhere, but could have gotten a double play if he would have ran him down. He had a brain fart, a really unexcusable one. If he just held it and let Rollins back to third, we still would have been in the game.

If you are citing the WHOLE package as a reason to hate dusty, I'm with you. If people place blame of tonights fiasco on Dusty, well, I can't say what I'd say because it would be against the rules of the board.
  11. I'd ask at what point do the fans stop blaming Dusty and the Umps for everything (the heat, weather, media etc.) and lay the blame upon the players? That would be refreshing especially after the display tonight. I forgot they are Cub fans, it's always the manager or umps fault.
  12. You were already proven wrong about Barrett with RISP. You're going to continue to look foolish?
  13. Oh come on now. The players lost this game. All of you blame Dusty for making excuses. Well, Dusty is your excuse. This game was lost by a lack of FUNDAMENTAL baseball. Rundowns, Pitchers moving to first, turning double plays, patience at the plate, NOT swinging at the high fastball, taking walks by a pitcher who has given up almost a walk per inning. I agree that the players lost this game. However, who is responsible for coaching the funadmentals? the fundamentals in this game? Their little league coaches.
  14. The players lack of fundamental execution lost the game. I hate dusty as well, but it's pretty tired to either have fans blame the umps or dusty for every bonehead little league play we make.
  15. For the love of CHRIST. Our lack of fundamentals lost that game, not covering first, not catching the ball. Not the frigging umps. All pitchers were getting some calls and not getting others.
  16. Just saw it on ESPN. Berman called it a "walk off strikeout". What a moronic piece of dung crap. Bench Barrett for a WEEK after that piece of shi&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&t play
  17. Can someone give me a play by play, all cbsportsline says is Rollins stole home.
  18. Good? If by good you mean good at getting out of their own jams They haven't allowed a run yet, so they've been good. Remlinger sucks though, so it doesnt matter. Thank good Williamson and Wood will be back. Wood would be huge with the K possibilities.
  19. Option 1) you're a Cub fan Option 2) you've secretly been taken over by OldHappyCubsFan's spirit. Option 3) The worst guy in our Pen is up.
  20. Or Z. Or Maddux for a sacrfice. Nice having pitchers who can handle a bat.
  21. I believe he hit the ball hard in all of his at bats. A nice catch or two by the opposing side, but, he apparently looked good and ready. You couldn't have said sweeter words to me if you were Angelina Jolie telling me how great I am in bed.
