Not in a tie game, late. Dusty has to pinch hit for Marshall. I'd rather have Marshall hit than Bynum, Neifi, or Blanco. That's murderer's row.

How was this kid not talked about more before? It was always Hill, but Hill's ML outings (I know, sample size) haven't looked close to as good as Marshalls. I hope Hill does well, but I'm glad Marshall leapfrogged Hill.

Ok for those of us without television or mlb.tv right now, on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being Alou, and 1 being simply Jones bashing, how bad was the running play? Say if it was Murton that made the error, how bad would you rate it? Preferably someone that doesn't hate Jones with all their passion.

Yes, I'm sure that's exactly why Wood is rehabbing in Arizona instead of Chicago. The pitching coach is in Chicago. The trainer is in Chicago. The GM is in Chicago. The Mgr. is in Chicago. The Cubs medical staff is in Chicago. There are towels at Wrigley Field. There are 3 mounds to throw off of at Wrigley Field. There is plenty of open land to throw long toss at Wrigley Field. DLee is injured and is back in the dugout...with the team. Stay away, Wood. :lol: (not with you). You are aware of how ridiculous you sound right? Was Sarah Wood your H.S sweetheart? I mean there is zero common sense behind any of your posts. He's rehabbing in Arizona because it's warm there, muscles stay loose. He can pitch to the rookie league. Ok, assume this IS the thought process. Would you like to have kerry wood for 3 starts and then have him in the DL because his arm strength wasn't high enough, or would you like to have him for 20 starts and then send him packing?

To which I just shake my head. I had a talk with a casual fan outside the Cabooze in MPLS the other night, if he is the prototypical Cubs casual fan, it's no wonder why people call our fanbase uninformed. He thought 1) Neifi was great because of last year, and that he was the least of our worries 2) Todd Walker shouldn't be starting because he's only good in April. 3) Jockstrap has great defense and it's not his fault he started off poorly. 4) JP has been a great lead off man 5) Dusty is a great manager. No joking, he argued these points with me and told me this year was our year.
