Lane has a higher OBP and higher OPS than Wilson. If Houston was serious about the wild card, they would have DFA'd Wilson instead of sending Lane down to AAA. Make no mistake, Lane hasn't been good this year, but he's been better than Preston Wilson. But what about Palmeiro and his stellar .582 OPS? -

I came here to post just that. -
I'm not a big Grossman fan, but I want to like him, so I will continue cutting him slack. He played well enough in the playoffs last year to keep us close in the 4th quarter when our defense played pisspoor, so he definitely has it all there. The only thing that concerned me about last night was how there didn't seem to be anything behind his passes. He just looked awkward and uncomfortable out there. I hope it was just jitters, and not something more mental than that.

I've been away momentarily, tell me what Hester has done. Nothing big, but he's made a lot of guys miss on his returns. It's gonna be nice to have a guy back there who knows how to return kicks.

Exactly. I don't like Grossman at all, but I'm hoping he can change my mind. He has no zip under his passes, he's just lobbing everything. And Gore just carried 18 Bears players.
