No way do the Giants let him break the record on the road. Maybe they'll somehow use up their entire bench and be forced to have Barry pinch hit. Long shot......extreme long, but I'll hold out hope. And if that happens i'll go buy a lottery ticket. Nah, they'd just have him bunt or not swing. They don't care about winning, the Bonds record is their entire season.

I've always wondered this and I've been here awhile so I think I should know this but whatever: Hoops, what is it that you do/how do you have these connections to all these rumors? P.S. I'd love to have Matt Stairs back for the bench and some spot starts, especially if Ward is out for awhile. -
That board is hilarious because you can replace "Fontenot and Theriot" with "Braun and Hardy" and Cubs with "Brewers" and it'll all still work. The Cubs are a much better team than the Brewers and I predicted before the ASB that the Cubs would be in first place by the time school starts, around mid-August. That series at the end of the month will do nothing but extend our lead more.

I've sat in left field about a dozen times this year and Soriano has more interaction with the fans than any other player ive seen. My favorite moment was during a cubs sox game when we had one d-bag sox fan in the section (he had "world series champs" printed where the name is supposed to go on his sox jersey). Well everyone was giving him a hard time and I think he yelled something at Soriano and Soriano flicked him off. It was HILARIOUS. Yes, I was in the bleachers at the end of June and Soriano LOVES the bleacher fans. He always runs out, points to everyone, will talk to people, whatever. You can yell "TWO DOWN SORIANO!" and hold out two fingers, and he'll turn around and flash two fingers back at ya. At one point some girl yelled "Gimmie a kiss Soriano!" and he turned around in between pitches and blew her a kiss. He definitely loves it here.

Great to see JJ having another nice day! Aramis has proven in the past 2 months that he is hands down the best player on this team. When can we start including him in MVP discussions?
