  1. Hah, I love that he asked if you were hammered.
  2. Oh god, I forgot how much I missed college football.
  3. This thread is gold Jerry, gold!
  4. I believe my high school beat him during the regular season my senior year, but lost to him in the Sectionals or Super Sectionals or something after our SS made a huge throwing error that gave them the lead or game? I don't remember much. This is exciting though, I hope he does a great job.
  5. Yes. They went 1-3, winning their last game against the Browns, and crushing my dreams of a complete 0-20 2008 campaign.
  6. My dad is 5'8" and my mom is 5'6" ... I'm 6'4"-6'5"ish
  7. Damn. Get him a year or two of solid, healthy OL work and I bet he'll at least land on a D-2 team somewhere.
  8. He's going to hit a 3-run HR after Johnson gets on.
  9. You've been struggling to get runners on all game, you have a chance to take the lead, your starter hasn't looked that good and you have 3 guys in the pen who can give you at least 2 shut down innings? Dempster had looked good since the first inning. Come on, you don't take an ace-caliber pitcher out of a tie game in the 5th inning when he has at least one more inning in him. If it was the 7th or 8th inning maybe. Why? Shouldn't you give yourself the best chance at winning? If it was the 2nd or 3rd it's one thing, but it's getting late in the 5th, and with Hamels on the mound, there's a great chance you won't have a runner in scoring position the rest of the game. You've got to take the chance there. But instead we left him in, he gave up 3, and threw 34 more pitches.
  10. You've been struggling to get runners on all game, you have a chance to take the lead, your starter hasn't looked that good and you have 3 guys in the pen who can give you at least 2 shut down innings? And your facing a very good offense, and its highly unlikely that the Phillies are going to be held to 1 run. Plus with Hamels stuff and the IF playing in, the chances of a PH actually getting the run in are minimal. Plus you have to burn your pen with 3 more games against the Phillies this weekend. There is no reason to take out a starter that has only given up 1 run and 80 pitches at that point. We'll agree to disagree then. It's not like we're an average team. We're the best team in baseball, and we've got guys in the pen completely capable of holding the Phillies to 1. Just because Dempster's pitch count wasn't that high doesn't mean he had looked good tonight.

  12. how in the hell do you leave him in that long? terrible, lou.
  13. in all honesty we shouldve taken him out when he came up with a runner on 3rd and 1 out last inning
  14. ESPN always likes one idiot on their studio panel to say stupid stuff. Holtz is the John Kruk of College Gameday Most of the people on NSBB know of my irrational hatred for ND. It's a deep hate, it's a good hate. It gives me no pleasure to say that Holtz is probably closer to the truth. They play the Big 10 teams but each of those teams are not good. Their toughest game outside of USC is Pitt and Pitt is coached by Wannstedt. I could see them winning 9, 10, or 11 games with a little luck. Then they'll play in a big bowl and get exposed like they always do. Long Live the Genius! I think I speak for most ND fans that I would gladly take the bowl-game disembowelment if it meant being good enough to make a BCS game this year. This is hopefully the last time I say that. FWIW, my BCS predictions: Rose: OSU/Arizona State Fiesta: Georgia/South Florida Sugar: LSU/Missouri Orange: Clemson/BYU National Championship: Oklahoma/USC OU's defense is going to drop two games this year, just watch. I hope one of those is against Mizzou in the Big 12 Championship. Although OU is on my list of teams that my favorite team will never beat in a big game. Along with Cubs vs Marlins and Cubs vs DBacks
  15. Cards announcers acting like that win put them right back in the race.
  16. IF THERE IS A GOD... I KNOW HE CATCHES FOR THE CUBS
