  1. when you get 1.5 more guys on base per game via the walk than you did 2 years ago, your offensive production is gonna go way up. lou has been an upgrade over dusty in just about every way imaginable, except for ability to fish and chew on toothpicks, while hendry has made much better personnel decisions over the past couple of years, but nothing is more important than this organization's epiphany that getting on base is a good thing. 395? lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
  2. The only thing about that is the Cubs/Cards and Brewers/Reds play at the same time on Saturday. Unless the other game ends first, the Cubs won't know that they clinched (in that scenario) when the game ends. If we took 2/3 from Milwaukee, our magic number would be 2. If we win Friday and so did Milwaukee, our magic number would be 1. If we won Saturday, it wouldn't matter what Milwaukee did, we'd clinch, right?
  3. Really Lou? Dempster shouldn't have come back after the 5th. Come on.
  4. Seriously. Tickets are what, $0.75 there?
  5. You wouldn't dare.
  6. WGN has Sunday's game against St. Louis. erm...yeah...I know... 8-[
  7. I want to clinch with a win. If we sweep the Brewers we can do that, but if we lose one, that might not happen. We play the Cards on Friday afternoon, while the Brewers play that night, so we could clinch after they lose that night. I picked that we'd clinch Saturday after we beat the Cards.
  8. Thank god for this, since WGN won't be showing a game until the second to last game and last game of the year, and those won't even matter.
  9. Scrubs sucks, Z doesn't. Discussion over.
  10. Like your friend heard that on the radio, or he is Steve's buddy, or??? Stone said it on The Score yesterday, as he was sitting in for vacationing George Ofman, on the Hit and Run show. He was guessing; I don't think he has any inside knowledge on the decision. That's pretty stupid. I'm pretty sure the Cubs are babying him so he's healthy for the postseason. They said when they got him that they were going to be careful with him. Stone's an idiot.
  11. Wouldn't be surprised if LSU jumped us if they beat Auburn on the road.
  12. I always want to see him pitch a no-no, but I'm never disappointed when he does.
  13. I actually would have no problem going Harden-Dempster-Z in the first round.
  14. Buffalo shouldn't be a problem. I'm hoping for 50+ points again.
  15. So if we're not in Chicago we don't get the game? That is lame as [expletive].
  16. My god, Oklahoma is sick. Also. OSU runs the most predictable offense in the entire world. When Boeckmann is in, they're mostly gonna pass. When Pryor is in, he's probably gonna run. Come on OSU, that was pathetic play calling all game long.
  17. And South Carolina just choked it away.
  18. Georgia just scored and got 2 to go up 14-7 with under 6:00 left in the 3rd.
  19. All the empty seats at Mizzou were pretty embarassing, too. What was up with that, Mizzou fans? ;) I was impressed we still got ~55,000 considering we're getting raped by rain, it was an early start, and a non-conference game. Last year or two years ago we wouldn't get that for a nice weather, afternoon start for a non conference opponent.
  20. Do you know why was Coffman wearing AO's number today? Every game this season a different Tiger is wearing the uni #. Sulak wore it last week. Christopher wore it last week. Every game this year it'll be a senior that wears it. That's right. My bad. I got the LB's mixed up. Stryker's a DE ;) So where do you get to sit? We're on the 20, 3rd row, north side, so Maclin's one TD catch (not the one in the end zone and not the 80 yard one) was right in front of us. Press box, haha. I work for the Media Relations department.
  21. Slider low and away gets him Edit: [expletive]! Beaten.
  22. Got to see some pretty awesome plays today (Washington TD run, Chase to Maclin for 80 yards and a sweet Maclin catch in the end zone, and Chase Coffman shoving down 5 defenders by their head), but I'm ready for conference to start.
