  1. I apparently lost my Vasher jersey at the beginning of this season. Somewhat fitting, I think.
  2. So all those cylinders un-clicked right after they demolished the Cubs? Like I said, "IMO"; and "the right time" being the 1st round of the playoffs. By the time the Dodgers got to the Phillies in the 2nd round, the Phillies had gained their own momentum. I think you're completely overestimating the role momentum has in baseball, but that's just me. If you can't quantify it, it doesn't exist I assume you're being sarcastic, so I'll respond. I'm not saying momentum doesn't exist in baseball, but I don't think it has that big of an impact due to the pace of a game. In football or basketball for instance, it's so fast-paced that a few big plays in a row can get you (and the crowd) going for an entire drive, quarter, game, whatever. I don't have that same feeling with baseball. A big catch or a big strikeout can definitely carry over, but I don't feel that momentum in baseball carries over from game to game all that much.

  4. I'd just love to see Manny and Soriano on the same team (even though it's financially ridiculous) to see the combination of personalities.
  5. OUCH Yeah and now we're tied. Awesome.
  6. Okay Denver. I'm down 1 point in my fantasy league to an awful team who struck gold with Lendale this week. I have your kicker. Get me one damn field goal.
  7. I hadn't heard anything, but how long is Lloyd supposed to be out?
  8. How good of a chance do we actually have at landing him? I don't see any reason why he'd pick us over UCLA or KU.
  9. I actually didn't realize Mizzou had two solid commits for 2009. Keith Dewitt (6-9, 210), a 4-star PF (per Scout) from Goldsboro NC, and Michael Dixon (6-1, 155), a 3-star PG out of Lee's Summit, MO
  10. I can't imagine you'll lose to them. We'll see what happens. They aren't good at all, but I think it'll be interesting. The crowd will be a bit restless after two straight losses I'm sure, and if things start slowly, they'll be even more pissy. The game is sold out, but I'm hoping a lot of people don't show up. You have no idea how many people's away messages or facebook statuses were calling for Chase's head. I even saw one last night that said they wanted Chase Patton to start. I must've forgotten about all those blocks and tackles Chase Daniel missed last night.
  11. If he can give us solid play all season long, that'd be huge going into the draft next year. It allows us to focus more on the O-Line and defense (and maybe a legit WR?), instead of having to worry about a QB early on.
  12. I love seeing Manning exposed as the whiny baby he really is, it's just unfortunate that the Packers are the ones doing it.
  13. tommie harris does something!
  14. THAT was the play call? Just when I thought Ron Turner couldn't be dumber.
  15. this team is pathetic.
  16. I'm amazed at Orton. Not just the great passes, but the check downs, the audibles, calling out defenses and schemes. I'm so impressed.
  17. BOOKER! WAY TO REDEEM YOURSELF!
  18. Wow, the defensive showed up!
  19. we have way too many offensive plays in the playbook set up for mckie
