  1. Cameron is a good example of why slugging percentage is not always the best way to gauge someone's power. His average is too low to make his SLG look respectable. His IsoP is .198 for his career, which is well-above league average. Think of it this way: In terms of SLG: Cameron last year: .477 League average last year: 417 Cameron is roughly 14% above the league average. However, look at it in terms of IsoP: Cameron last year: .234 League average last year: .152 Cameron is roughly 54% above the league average. Very interesting, thanks.
  2. Delmon Young sucks. It's not hard to figure out. Right now we have room to sign a RF. If we move Marquis, we can get another starter along with the RF. It's simple.
  3. that doesn't make any sense, carroll can't control where he goes. maybe they're willing to let him play next year if he goes to certain schools but not if he goes to penn state? There is some control I'm sure. I know Gary Pinkel won't let kids transfer to another D-1 school at all. If you come to Mizzou you're either going to honor your commitment, or you can go to a smaller school for a year and transfer back to a different D-1 school if you want.
  4. What is so scary about Cameron? You're right. Looking at his stats, I thought he slugged a lot higher than he does.
  5. That would be very very nice. We got his two buddies from Juco this week(one of them being former USC LB Josh Tatum), but I didn't realize Hazelton was that strong a possibility. Tatum going to Mizzou was mentioned as one of the reasons Vidal is interested. Wow, this would be great news.
  6. To be fair, this is kinda a big deal. I mean he is really throwing Kelvin under the bs here. I know coach wanted them to stop doing drugs, but not if it meant us not winning games. Also am I the only one who thinks this is more than just pot? I doubt very much that Eric would have thought pot was such a big deal. Oh I know, i was just BS'ing you guys.
  7. Don't worry we'll get back to talking about Missouri always losing to Illinois by next week. Thats all I ask.
  8. wow we're still talking about eric gordon. i thought i stepped into a time capsule for a minute there.
  9. Sure would've liked to see Cameron out of the NL
  10. It can definitely help to beat them in a crap year, but I really don't understand the thought process of preferring to beat them over having a good year. I agree, I'd always rather have the good year, no questions asked.
  11. honestly, it sucks balls losing to KU, but i'd rather be in our shoes this year than theirs 100% of the time. although if you're going to have a crappy season, your yearcan be made by beating your rival. im sure we helped kansas with that a bit this year.
  12. If we move Marquis we can do both, and Lowe is an upgrade from Marquis.
  13. rawdog is p. legit guys holy ish i remember that. awesome.
  14. At this point, I'm not sure. I have this weird feeling it won't be Bradley, even though a few days ago I was 100% confident he would be.
  15. well you're here anyways. just sayin'
  16. IM STILL WONDERING WHICH BLACK MAN Z IS GOING TO PICK. NONE OF THESE ANSWERS HAVE HELPED. ****YO YO YO THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS CUBBIES75****
  17. I've loved Lowe for awhile, so I'd be all for this.
  18. He was most fan's top choice, but I pretty much expected this. If you're getting interviewed by Auburn already why would you come here? The only risk he's taking is that Buffalo regresses significantly next year (possible considering they were pretty lucky this year). As for realistic candidates, I could try to name a few but I've learned that's pretty futile when Pollard is leading the job search. Two years ago everyone was convinced Brain Kelly would be introduced as coach tomorrow and Chizik wasn't even on the radar even though the interviews were held in Dallas. You guys want Matt Eberflus off our hands? We'll even pay his contract for you.
  19. So are the rumors true that the Cubs are actually holding a press conference about this?
