    Whaaa??? Legendary voice?? Not homeristic? I like Joniak, but niether of these descriptions seem very befitting. Oh god if you think Joniak is a homer, listen to the Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Denver or Indy play-by-play guys. They are downright terrible. Most of you never heard Jack Brickhouse and Irv Kupcinet doing Bears games on the radio !!!

    I thought Miami might play well @ home here. The 2 teams the Bears have lost to are actually very solid AFC squads. Miami just had a horrid start, but they were always much better than that. I hear what you're saying..... but dominating New England 21-0 is a good way beyond just playing well at home, no?

You could make the argument that this attempt to "jump start" Pierre did work....... He's fresh and well-rested. :D Man.... he's almost as old as you, eh?? :wink: His rookie year was the year I first started following the Cubs, the ill-fated 1969 season. I remember him from his days with the Phillies (the days of Wine and Rojas, as Harry liked to say). I used to marvel at the plays of Wine and Rojas. :wink:

    -Podsednik was an All-Star because of a ridiculous fan vote, not because he desrved to be there. -The White Sox won the World Series because every pitcher on that staff had a career year at the same time, not because of Scott Podsednik's presence on the team -1 GW homer in the playoffs does not a great player make. By God, don't tell that to Bill Mazeroski, or the writers who voted him into the hall of fame !!
