    And Bruce wins again. :) Think about it: when have you ever seen "Bruce Miles" and "Jim Hendry" together? They're one in the same, and involved in some weird plot to make money from us somehow. I'm on to you... Never understimate the value of a good conspiracy theory, eh? :wink:

    Their only other option would be Houston @ Oakland, and I can't see CBS showing that one anywhere outside of the Houston & Oakland markets.

    I'm sure you're right. When it all shakes out, I don't think our bench will consist of Blanco, 3 IFs, plus Pagan and Bynum in the outfield. I couldn't see allocating any more ABs to the 7 infielders (4 starters plus 3 backups), or the 2 catchers, so I had to add the reamaing ABs to the outfielders. As bad as Pagan's projections are, Bynum's are even worse. Not a real good situation, any way you look at it. As I stated earlier..... I sure hope Hendry has some tricks up his sleeve !!

    There is an inherent danger involved in drawing statistical inferences from limited sample sizes. Case in point...... Cedeno's performace in 2005. I'd imagine you were equally impressed by that limited sample size, too, eh? .300/.356/.375 in 89 PA .328/.412/.522 in 159 PA I sincerely hope nobody was equally impressed by those two lines. The point was not that Theriot's & Cedeno's numbers are equal, but rather, each sample size was far too small to make the kind of judgement about the player(s) that have been made. Sorry I didn't state that more clearly.

Yeah the numbers kinda stink - but you do know that you can have a good at bat without getting on base, right? But your assertion was not that he was a good bat, but rather that he "showed to be a tough out", no?
