  1. He probably really, really wants to pitch well against us. Adrenaline, probably. That, and he has always operated in the mid to high 90's.
  2. Has Wellemeyer gained some control or is he still walking the ball park? If not, no thanks. Mitre gets out of trouble. A walk and a stolen base made that far too interesting. Wellemeyer is far from ideal, but more useful out of the pen than Mitre, that's for sure.
  3. He's going to have to learn because he hasn't shown enough to start. he's shown flashes of starting brilliance He's also been a poster boy for inconsistency. True, but if he is going to have any success, it's going to be as a starter. Personally, I think he should (and likely will) be traded.
  4. Mitre needs to go to Iowa. Get Welly, Grieve or Aardsma up here.
  5. Mitre isn't doing anyone any good up here. The Cubs need to send him down and let him start, for his, the team's, and his trade value's sake.
  6. Gah! The 80's! Actually, I like 80's music. No worries. I love 80's music. The cheesiness makes it good! I thought the 80's were pretty good times. Having said that, I get good laughs out of picture of me from those days.

  8. Maybe he'll tire in time for Hawk to come in and relive old times. 8) Is Walker or Hawkins the Giants closer? Walker, I think. But one can hope. Then again, if he got the opportunity, LaTroy would probably own us.

  10. His Neifi love and Macias love also sicken me as well. None of those 3 guys should be on the team on opening day 2006. But Holla is a real good bat off the bench. It's sad when you have to manipulate the roster to accommodate your manager's stupidity.
  11. I am really getting sick of Dusty and his Holla-Love. And you know he's going to start tomorrow, too.
  12. O's fans letting Sammy have it after he GIDP. :(
  13. Shhh, he's gotten 2 quick outs. This might be the good Rem. There's a 2 out hit. I haven't seen the good Rem since he's been here I saw good Rem for stretches in 2003.
  14. Going to? I lose two for every one anymore. :x
  15. If Moises could find some range and an arm to go along with his ability to slide and dive, he might have something.
  16. The guys who hit the most line drives typically hit a good deal of home runs. Yeah, if you square up on the ball consistantly and you have even decent strength, you are going to hit quite a few homers.
  17. I'm watching the O's-Rangers game, and Sosa looks like a total shell of his former self. I don't think he could hit a slider if his life depended on it. It kind of makes me sad.
  18. When Hill is missing, is he missing with the curve or the fastball (I can't see the game)
  19. Burnett is not going to get a long term contract with Florida, which is exactly why he will likely be traded this year. If you've been following the trade talks and rumors, you'd know that teams haven't expressed that much of an interest in signing Burnett long term at this point in the year - and everywhere I read it states the chances of him staying put in Florida for the remainder of the season is growing more and more likely by the minute. Florida can try all they want to get rid of him - but it just isnt working out for them. They can just get rid of him, they'll just have to takes less in return. Burnett can want a long term contract all he wants, but as far as I know he has no trade rights. If a team wants him for the remainder of the season, and the Marlins will take a rental price, I fail to see what Burnett's contract desires have to do with anything.
