  1. Yahoo had 27, where are you getting your counts from? 27 after the 2nd. 37 now.
  2. Maybe it's karma for the Dunn catch last week.
  3. The Reds announcers are mentioning this and believe his arm angle has dropped. Maybe he has a tired arm. I don't know why, he only leads the league in PAB with 112 pitches a game. Arroyo's also throwing his fastball fairly slowly. I think the radar might be a few ticks slow. Game day had Bronson's fastet pitch in that AB at 74.
  4. Man, this lineup looks much better without Dunn and Griffey in it.
  5. Don't you start falling behind guys, Carlos.
  6. The Brewers just gave you a mulligan for your pitiful showing against the Marlins. Now finish this off right, Cobs.
  7. I thought Cap has dropped his last 10 decisions, and that the "Cap appearance = Brewers loss" streak is actually longer. Like about 20.
  8. I think it ends tomorrow. I really do. I certainly hope so. I have a barbecue to host Saturday night, and I don't want to be a nervous wreck in front of my guests. Hopefully I'll be in more of a celebratory mood.
  9. He couldn't have. He was thinking about the playoffs just like he said he wasn't. I don't think it was that. He had to start a 5th starter Thursday, Friday, or Saturday-that was certain. The coaching staff thinks that Hill is more effective when given more than normal rest, so the 5th starter spot was moved to Thursday. Then Lou had to decide who to start-Trachsel, Marshall, Hart, or Gallagher? That's where he messed up, not in thinking about the playoffs. He should have started Hart or Gallagher instead of Trachsel (I personally believe Marshall's arm is in bad shape right now). Yeah, people have called for Marshall, but he's been as bad as Trachsel. I would have gone with Hill, or Hart at the very least.
  10. I don't know. I wonder if the Brew Crew is just getting a little tired. It's been a long time since their last day off now. Advantage Cubs. I can't believe the Crew is choking with us losing. It's a double choke! Gotta be a first. It's a choke-off! The great choke-off of '07!
  11. If the Cubs had only taken 2 of 3, we'd be partying right now. But way to suck, Brewers!
  12. Well, the Cubs tried to give the Crew a couple games, but those ingrates wouldn't take them.
  13. We need to win 1 game, and the Brewers lose 1. And that's all. If the Pads were to take 2/3, which THEY will need or they're in trouble, then we could get swept and still win it. If they lose tonight....then, if we win ONE game, or they lose ONE game, then we are guaranteed at least a tie, correct? No, if they lose, and the Cubs win one and they lose one, the Cubs win outright.
  14. I see that since Yost isn't in the dugout, Cordero isn't being saved for the save.
  15. What? Why? ehem. ....because I didn't know Bell was good  You should remember him owning the Cubs in multiple appearances this year.
  16. I'm not really. Bell and Hoffman should close this thing down.
  17. Prince Fielder just read that post and hi-tailed it to Dennys. thats why he struck out so fast. Probably a promotion at IHOP.
  18. Possibly. Or it could be AZ. Or Philadelphia. Or New York. The scenarios are all over the place right now. In theory, the Rockies could finish the season with the best record in the NL. Yeah, that team is freaking hot right now.
  19. He couldn't have. He was thinking about the playoffs just like he said he wasn't.
  20. They should test him for elevated levels of gamma radiation instead.
  21. Keep em down Padres. None of this crap.
  22. I admit I didn't feel good about the series even beforehand. They played the Mets tough, and they can really hit. My bad feeling got worse when I heard Trachsel was going to make a start.
