  1. It's a rare day when I feel such an even mix of anger and happiness. It should never have come to that. It was such a glorious day.
  2. Winning this game was like finding out you have type 2 instead of type 1 diabetes. A relief, but it still sucks.
  3. That is correct. Marshall was ready in the bullpen halfway through the inning, but Lou didn't go to him. Marmol didn't get hit particularly hard most of the inning, but a combination of poor control and balls finding holes did him in. That's what is the most frustrating thing. Marmol doesn't seem to have lost and movement or velocity, and it's not like guys were smoking the ball against him like they were a couple weeks ago.
  4. It'll make the day at least a little better with a win If by a little better you mean not vomit inducing, you may be right. But seriously, it'll be fine. The Crew probably loses tonight.
  5. untrue. Yes it is. He has horrible range, a horrible arm, and has made numerous poor decisions in the field. he's a little below average. i guess if you want to ignore all the fielding metrics and say that he's horrible at everything, that's your prerogative. Yes, because we all know how reliable and accurate fielding metrics are. generally they're more reliable and accurate than someone losing his mind after a poor play. Okay, since you didn't seem to see me reference it earlier, I said the very same thing a couple of hours ago, and on numerous occasions not following a poor play. This is not me having a knee jerk reaction, sorry.

  7. untrue. Yes it is. He has horrible range, a horrible arm, and has made numerous poor decisions in the field. His offense has been great, but if one tried to make the case that Ryan is anything better than a mediocre defender at SS, they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. I feel your pain, but think rationally about this one for a second. I have on numerous occasions, when I was calm and clear minded. And I came to the same conclusion. The man is not even an average defensive SS. I was even saying the same thing earlier in this thread when it was still 7-0.
  8. White Sox fans too. Milwaukee has zero room to criticize another team for a late inning implosion.

  10. I'm not watching the game, but it seems like Harden is staying too close to the zone in 0-2 and 1-2 counts. Or doe sit just seem that way?
  11. OMG...somebody ---SOAPDROPPING--- pinch me! against rookies... Still, he's finding the strike zone  Yeah, I'm very encouraged. Still, I'd feel better if he were doing it at Iowa.
  12. Word. If he had a better arm it would not even be close. Scappy Gritmeister. Theriot has been awesome at the plate, but his defense stinks. It's not just the arm. I think you are overstating how bad his defense is - I would say it is marginal - he makes the routine plays pretty well it is just that he has limited range b/c of his weak arm. No, he has limited range and a bad arm. He's just a 2B playing SS. That's not to mention the occasions he has cost Soto a CS by trying to rush the tag when he didn't need to. As long as he is getting on base like he is, I can live with it.
