  1. I thought Verlander did it in Milwaukee last year. Nope. In Detroit.
  2. Wow. If I got that excited for a no-hitter, my heart is going to explode if the Cubs win the WS. wowowowowowowowowwowowowowowowowowowowow
  3. I can't believe it. YES! I thought I'd never see it.
  4. And it's oh so sweet. Not if it means we face Philly in the first round instead of LA it's not. Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. I'd rather face Philly in the first round than Milwaukee in the second. Seriously, if we can't beat any of the other playoff teams in a short series, then we don't deserve to go to the WS.
  5. I curse ESPN for making me watch this on a computer. CURSE YOU ESPN!
  6. Suicide hotlines better be extra staffed tonight. No need to be crude about it. What is happening to the Brewers seems a lot like what happened to the Cubs in 2004. Except there were a lot more injuries to blame for us that year. There's no need to rub salt in the wounds (at least too much, anyway).
  7. BLESS YOU!! BLESS YOU!!!! It's 678 for me, but he is still blessed. :D looks like i would get it (doesn't say "channel not purchased"), but it looks like it's blacked out. well done, mlb. Me too, and I'm in the FSNSW area. Bastards.
  8. Braun, Fielder and Hart are completely AWOL.
  9. First and third, no out for the Phils in the bottom of the first. Brew crew picking right back up where they left off.
  10. Why are you finding it hard to believe? The Dodgers have been playing much, much, much better than the D'Backs lately. It's no fluke that they've opened up a good lead. I find it hard to believe that Arizona didn't have it all but locked up by the end of August. Really, the race shouldn't have all that close. The DBacks have just choked on it for the last 3 months.
  11. CPatt hits a homer to put the Reds up 2-1 in the 10th. I am finding it hard to believe the DBacks won't be coming out of that putrid division for the playoffs.
  12. Yeah, the run, run and short dump pass offense isn't going to cut it. And there are few things more frustrating that not being able to hit the receiver who has beaten his man. Ever. But the play calling is more frustrating, which is saying something.
  13. I agree. I don't see any way those two get along.
  14. The Bears offensive play calling is among the worst I have ever seen, and it has been for a while. The offense isn't that dynamic to begin with, and the playcalling only exacerbates things.
  15. When I started this thread really didn't think there was much chance of the Brewers not making the playoffs, but after watching all three games they have played in Philly, I think they are in serious trouble. I think it is a near lock they are tied for the WC after tonight, and if they lose 2 of 3 or get swept by the Cubs, I don't know that they can make it. And I thought the Cubs were playing poorly.
  16. Oh no, they wouldn't have to fly anywhere! Ridiculous. How about the disadvantage of having to be in St. Louis for 6 straight days? Yeah, that's rough.
  17. Seriously, how much creepier can it get? I am indifferent about the cartoon chicks. Frankly, I find the idea that people find them hot or creepy to be equally odd.
  18. If they don't at least tie it here, Milwaukee may implode.
