  1. Who is the co-host on the Brewers' post-game. Is that Cirillo? Wow he's terrible, LOL.
  2. Now let's see how the hot Astros do. They'll either be out of it after the Brewer series, or else they'll deal the Crew some unexpected, but most welcome, home losses.
  3. YEAH DODGERS WIN! Glad I was wrong.
  4. Remember last September, when Ned Yost kept taking Braun out of close games for defense, only to have his spot come up for a really important AB? I do. I also remember Braun's glove @ 3rd costing several ballgames.
  5. Braun ties the game, then gets yanked from the ballgame.
  6. I doubt it. Brewers surely win now.
  7. Just a mind-bogglingly horrid pitch. It's 0-2, you've had Braun swinging out in front, and you throw him a MEATBALL OVER THE PLATE?!?
  8. I'll take me some Dodgers in the playoffs over the DBacks or Marlins, thank you very much.
  9. Braun homers, tie game. How terrible is that?
  10. Welp, here we go. Dodgers have put themselves into a position where they have to pitch to Braun with a chance to tie the game with a homer. Let's see what happens.
  11. Manny RBI, 5-1 Dodgers now.
  12. I love this. The guy obviously really likes being a Cub, working with these guys. How much is it going to cost us to keep him again? I'm not so sure this is a fluke season for him. He's been a good starter before this with Florida. I'd think very long and hard before letting him go.
  13. LOL @ the "Bronze Fonz"
  14. When it comes time to plan personnel on the offensive side of the ball, Jerry probably throws up his hands and goes golfing. Or maybe he just goes golfing because he doesn't care about offense so he's not interested in improving it. I dunno. How can you let it get this bad? That's what I can't figure out. He's asleep at the wheel, and so are Lovie/Turner.
  15. How in the hell do the Dodgers not get any more runs there? Wow. They need to find a way to have Manny hitting with runners on, all the time.
  16. Dodger offense better lately, but they're still the 13th ranked O in the NL overall. Even with Manny I'm not finding myself very scared of them.
  17. Dodger solo shot, 4-1 now.
  18. Wow, I'm incredibly sick of watching this Cub team not score runs against Florida. So, I'm on to other things. I definitely don't want to see the Marlins, or the DBacks, in the playoffs this year. Anything that keeps them out will be just peachy with me.
  19. You can't blame Angelo for Williams' injury. Most teams who saw the same med reports stated they would have also taken him had he been there and had they needed a LT. That said, the O-Line is horrible and this team will therefore likely waste what is likely to be a very good yr from their defense. Angelo tried to get an extra yr out of brown, Miller and Tait at LT and it cost him. Remains to be seen if they will be historically bad, but I doubt that will be the case. In the last several yrs the Texans have fielded some of the worst O-Lines ever. In the 80's and most of the 90's the Bucs - in spite of Paul Gruber - couldn't block anyone. Green Bay's o-lines in the 80's and early 90's were horrendous. The Majik Man ran for his life half the time - not b/c he was so mobile, but b/c his protection broke down all the time. That's just off the top of my head. Uh-huh, and how did those teams do, on the whole? You can definitely blame Angelo for the overall situation on the OLine. Whenever you put yourself in a situation of needing to rely on a rookie or the OLine collapses, then you as a GM have put your team in a very bad position. They're going to be bad on a Epic level. The only difference is, Turner will probably just run the ball to try to cover for their horrendous pass protection skills. If he doesn't you can bet they'll be bad on a Texans-type level. On 3rd and long it's going to be nightmarish because they'll have to throw, they have slow receivers, and they can't pick up blitzes. It's horrible. There's no other way to say it.
  20. Yesterday was lameness defined. We should have put up at least 4 or 5 runs. Please plate the runners today Cubs.
  21. So they ring us up on the same pitch they wouldn't call for Zambrano yesterday. What a bunch of BS.
  22. Can't believe we only got 3 hits off that guy with the lack of control he had early.
  23. After what he's done? No thanks, that was the right move, Ross #'s or not.
