    I know it but they FEEL shaky. It doesn’t make sense.

    Imagine if we just blunted the losing a bit earlier in the season. A lot of winnable games were lost and just flipping a few would have changed the season entirely.

    I guess it’s important to not only fix problems, but also to fix them quickly.

    Fun, but we all know tomorrow scoring will be sparse.

    I’m excited but also trying to control it. The team is still run by Everflub so players have to overcome his ineptitude in addition to the other team. I’m not expecting great play calling for example. I doubt the in game tactics will be suddenly awesome.

    It feels like the Cubs have put up an explosion of runs, and then the next day almost no offense quite a few times.

    Unfortunately winning 2/3 isn’t enough at this point. And that might have been the last real opportunity to turn this game around.

    I’m skeptical but yeah, if they put up a great record in the next 3 series I might start hoping.

    It’s never a bad thing to show them a 100mph fastball after a much slower starting pitcher.

    Eff’ing Cardinals are running 6 games up on their predicted record based on run differential. Reminds me how much I’ve always hated them.

    Why would a former scout need to sneak that in as a preface to every post? Also, he “went there” alright. Not with the Williams/Bagent comparison but with the body language poop. Even if he was a scout of some renown his opinion would mean little to me after that.

    The difference is in Milwaukee his moves worked because the FO gave him players that work. For example he was leaning on Hader over and over and it was working because Hader was handling it. So that looked brilliant and won games but it would have looked idiotic had it been a different guy who just blew his arm out.

    It’s starting to sound like 6 innings unless he’s not doing well...

    Situationally though he could have a substantial impact.

    Then Belly waves at strike 3 because what’s he going to do? Everything is a strike so you have to swing. This is a big reason why I like the idea of robot umps. Players should be concentrating on the other team, not playing head games with umps.

    This ump is a turd. Not blaming all struggles on him but wow.

    Considering where he was as a hitter this is definitely something good to hold on to.
