  1. Pace got raped on that play, dude
  2. I'm just not impressed with our oline. Bad. It's costing us big time
  3. IF that's how they plan on defending today you can say hello to 1-2.
  4. What a complete joke that was.
  5. Zorn - midseason firing? Collins may have just thrown the Titans' season away.
  6. Everyone who had the 9ers as an easy game for their team needs to reconsider.....including me.
  7. No doubt about it.
  8. I'm going to go with a close game today. 23-20 Bears. I think the home field advantage, and wallace's running style will keep this one tight.
  9. Bah, let them continue their streak of suckage. I really dont like the skins.
  10. With this Rams team? I wouldn't even be concerned at this point.
  11. I know it isn't in my best interest, but to hell with it. Come on Detroit!
  12. And the effort on the field was similarly embarrasing.
  13. I'm definitely disappointed that he didn't have a better year this year.
  14. Somebody needs to explain that leading with the crown of the helmet, has nothing to do with hitting him in the head lol How fitting that he doesn't even realize what the league is talking about. I'm guessing the Steelers don't see the need to inform their players about the rule and what it means to violate it. Maybe the Bears aren't, either. I don't know. I think they probably should. Here's a guy going around, spearing players, not even realizing that it's against the rules, or even what the rule means.
  15. Not worried, not anymore than most games. This is the first one that I'm expecting a win. It would be a very disappointing loss. Yeah...especially with the number of injuries that Seattle is dealing with. I'm actually thinking we win this by more than a TD. I'll just try to feed off your confidence then :) I worry too much.
  16. How much does a team really have to prep for Seneca Wallace? He is more mobile than Hasselbeck. So you at least have to prepare for that much. This is probably where the downgrade from Urlacher to Hillenmeyer would most be noticed. Urlacher can beat the crap out of mobile QBs, Hunter will not. They will have to scheme. Worried about it? It would kind of suck to get Wallace, then watch him beat us with his running all day.
  17. I don't care if you've never been to Wrigley even once -- to say you don't associate the Cubs with Wrigley field is downright strange. I'm not saying the Cell is horrible, but after watching games in a bunch of other cities, I'd have to say it's rather nondescript.
  18. As a 49er fan you're welcome. Looks like they're going to play the "will he won't he" game with Hasselbeck right up until the game -- force the Bears to prep for both QBs. Can't blame them. I'd do it too.
  19. bom·bast (bŏm'bāst') n. Grandiloquent, pompous speech or writing. I've been using it wrong for probably 20 years.
  20. I find it interesting that we are having this discussion in the context of a team that just won two division championships in a row, and is currently 5 games over .500 OK, sure, it's a down year. But this is the kind of discussion I would expect to see after 5 seasons of 100-loss baseball. Not now.
  21. A lot of bad run defenses? When both teams get 200+ rushing, one team has to lose.... That could be bs...I haven't looked at the numbers. Well last night it was more due to Manning's quick strike ability. The Colts were putting up 7 points on long drives that took less than 1 minute. So I guess in that case it was poor pass D, and very poor tackling by the Dolphins. I haven't checked the particulars in that Titans/Texans game though. Andre Johnson. And Owen Daniels, Jacoby Jones and pretty much every other Texan wide receiver. Schaub threw for 357 yards and four touchdowns and Andre Johnson had 149 yards receiving. The Texans only had 63 yards rushing, but our secondary couldn't begin to slow down the passing game. A brief look at the box score shows that the Texans actually owned the time of possession edge in that game too, which is very unlike what happened last night.
  22. Hundley was flicking off fans after home runs. It's close. I was too young to really remember all the behind-the-scenes stuff with Kingman. I knew he wasn't liked, but that's about it.

  24. The question is: what would be the purpose of that? If indeed Bradley refused to play when asked to, such a grievance could backfire easily. And the fact that the Cubs are probably still going to pay him during the suspension. It seems to me that they were doing him a favor by suspending him and not placing him on the DL, due to the clause in his contract regarding his option vesting in 2011. Plus, what would be the remedy in a situation like this? The Cubs are forced to play a guy that even the players don't want around for a couple meaningless games at the end?
