  1. OK, then I'd say that's a decision Mora had at least a part in. So why is he now publicly outing the guy when he knew what he was getting?
  2. Panthers just unable to get the stop. Then delhomme comes out goes 3nout again. Not conducive to winning
  3. Wow jones hurt?
  4. Hah, they have to walk back through the club after a lackluster 1st half
  5. "Jake Delhomme leads the league in grit." LOL, Chucky's on a roll tonight
  6. Yeah, it could be argued that it is unacceptable for Hester to not be tackled on that TD catch, too. But Mora is silent on that one. The other thing is, it's easy to go after the kicker. All the other players on the team are going to roll with it. Kickers are largely disrespected by the rest of the roster. It's extremely common. So you call your kicker on the carpet and it doesn't cost you anything in the locker room. Call out other players in the media and you might find yourself sewing the seeds of discontent.
  7. So what do you REALLY think? I'm thinking Mora found the missed kicks to be unacceptable.
  8. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6152  :D This is something where Bear fans will think of it as a good thing, and opposing fans will see it as whining.
  9. Yep. P-Nut got greedy on that one, and Jones made him pay dearly for it.
  10. I was factoring in a period of time where the Bears would need to get used to each other on offense. So yeah, I'm thrilled with 2-1. This offense should continue to get better. The only thing that scares me is that I was expecting better from the OLine yesterday in the run game, and I didn't really see it. Better late in the game though. The way I look at it, we were dealt a tough hand for our opening 3 games, and we came through it looking very good.
  11. Take an especially close look at those Eddie Royal numbers Then look at the Knox numbers. It's early yet, to be sure, but it's starting to look like Royal was a product of Cutler -- and that Cutler is doing the same thing with Johnny Knox.
  12. Other than the nebulous emotional lift they will surely get from winning last week, I'm not sure anything is really quantifiable with the Lions yet. I do know 2 things: The Lions aren't as good away from their dome. The Bears are almost always a much better team at home. I don't have much problem declaring a decided advantage for the Bears in this one. I'll go 31-20 Bears.
  13. Yeah, I really think the Cards have a great shot at the NL pennant. And this makes me sad.
  14. Much as I would love to agree, he's done that too many times for me to believe it was luck. That catch on the other end was also incredible. I'll give the Vikes credit for their incredible win. I would hope Viking fans give us credit for a couple of scratch-n-claw tough wins as well.
  15. For as much flack as he took in the offseason/preseason, Hillenmeyer has really been good in Urlacher's absence. I don't know that he's been spectacular, but he's filled in admirably. I know. Now I'm hoping his injury isn't serious.
  16. The Lions don't get to play in their dome this week. They're much better at home. Washington is a dreadfully bad football team, which is why some people actually picked the Lions to win that one, and they were right. That said, the Bears could be surprised if they don't take this game seriously. I worry about that sometimes with this team.
  17. Let cutler choose the play. I think you may be on to something, Ron
  18. Yeah we'll see. I don't see how we can consistently play well without Gore. He is our offense. We can move the ball by using VD more but it won't be consistent and will be a lot like last year. Defense does look to be fulfilling its potential. How long is Gore out? I thought the 9ers did well without him.
  19. Not liking this. Stop them!!!
  20. Wow that was a stud play by Hester
  21. Great play! Too much time left though
  22. I agree. We would need a good chunk more
