  1. Got my tix for the Feb 13th game in Chicago. First Blackhawks game I will attend since old Chicago Stadium.
  2. I think it's kind of interesting. And I disagree with those who said the end of the season sucked. There were meaningful seedings questions (especially when that involves domed teams and cold weather teams), and the entire AFC was fighting for 2 wild card spots. I enjoyed the last two weeks of this NFL season much more than I enjoyed the last month of baseball. When was the last time an NFL wild-card playoff game featured a week 17 rematch, much less three? It's definitely happened more than a handful of times. I am drawing a blank on examples but it's happened multiple times in the last maybe 10 years (1 rematch that is) It's happened. I think it's kind of boring though. What would make it interesting is if one of the losers comes out and turns the equation on its head. If all the week 17 winners just win again, it will be one of the least interesting Wild Card weekends in memory.
  3. Those sound like pretty marginal changes. The fact that our new OC will be working for a coach on the hot seat (read: lame duck) will limit our choices. A new DC will be brought in, but again, for a lame duck coach and likely another Lovie type guy. So the defense will essentially be the same -- unless Lovie magically decides we should try a new defense.
  4. I'd take that. Wish the OBP was a tad higher.
  5. Yeah, it's something I'd like to do once just to check it out, but that's about it. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
  6. 4am meeting, or so I heard. Sheesh, if I was Zorn I would have requested a meeting following yesterday's game. I'm not getting up at 3am to get fired, just fire me now so I can get some sleep.
  7. It might be some wishful thinking on my part. You're allowed to be wishful in this case.
  8. Very odd, and a little disappointing, to be getting so many rematches from yesterday again next weekend.

    NFL Week 17

Man. Eagles are laying a giant turd in a huge game. That can't be a good sign.
  10. I felt that if they didn't fire Lovie then they'd bring Turner back anyways. I can't see them bringing in a new OC for 2010, then if they underachieve again, having them fire Lovie and hiring someone new, who will then bring in ANOTHER new OC for 2011. I just have a hard time seeing them having three offenses in three years. They've done it before. (Shoop, Shea, Turner) And it was a miserable failure. I don't know what will happen, but there is a possibility everyone will be back to avoid taking Cutler through too many transitions.

    NFL Week 17

the guy throwing to him wasn't drafted either Scouts aren't always right. It makes things more interesting.

    NFL Week 17

Yeah, Pack/Cards are no longer playing for a bye since Minny won. Eagles/Boys has more at stake.

    NFL Week 17

Wow. If you're a non-Packer fan in Packerland, you are hating life rightnow unless you have NFLST.
  14. They'll bring Turner back now. I can feel it.
  15. At least Cutler will end the year on a high note, and Aromashodu provides some hope for a bigger target next year.
  16. bears won 3 before they realized they suck.
  17. Looks like they went a little blitz happy, or thought they should stuff the box every play for some reason. And here come the Lions, LOL
  18. Finally got the passing game going.
  19. Please just let this season end
  20. Blackhawks. At least we've got the Blackhawks.
  21. Bears look like they'd prefer losing today.
  22. How do you usually spend your Sundays? Here, watching the Bears, wondering why I can't turn away. And I'll do the same with the Cubs. I'm a slave to this stuff.
  23. I'm amazed Lions fans don't boo. They just sit there and take the crap being shoveled down their throats.
  24. Gonna lose to the Lions folks. Why I am spending my precious Sunday on this slop, I have no idea.
  25. Earlier in the season I was convinced that Forte's problem was 100% on the o-line, but since Kahlil Bell has been able to come in and run decently in limited action kinda makes me feel that quite a bit of it is on Forte. He was already a marginal runner to begin with. Now he's too tentative, too slow to the hole. And unable to make people miss with enough consistency. We can do better, and without having to spend a valuable pick or even close.
