  1. Thank you. This is exactly what I was trying to say a couple weeks back.
  2. We'll make it but it's going to be a struggle. Remember when we laughed at the Red Wings last year for struggling to make the playoffs until they got hot down the stretch? I can't believe we won't make the playoffs. No. I won't believe it until I see it. I didn't say that. I'm just seeing a 6-7 seed is becoming that much more likely as the season plays on. I think he was more addressing dexter's original quote. Yes, I was continuing the conversation, but addressing dexter's quote.
  3. It seems all the new guys are on the ice all the time. Every line but the top one has imports now, their 2nd best center is out as well as their best forward. And Toews and Kane have been no shows so far. Keith has showed up but all that time on the ice is taking it's toll. That's the thing I notice, too. I realized we would have a lot of new players. But it didn't hit home how much ice time they would have. Now it has, and DAMN -- who are these guys?
  4. It's the same old brick wall treatment. As in, here's a brick wall, knock yourself out pounding your head up against it. Angelo can't leave soon enough for me. Just, please, get rid of this bozo. Anyone. Help.

  6. that's what happens when the league takes your steroids away. Yeah, he went from monster player --> no more roids --> suddenly can't stay healthy anymore --> not good even when healthy. All in the space of what seemed like a blink of an eye.
  7. Wholly crap we blow the big chunks. OK, it's early but Jesus. Hey I know, let's just give more guys the puck right in front of our goal, brilliant.
  8. Merriman to the Bills. Which is interesting to me in the sense that I had already forgotten of his existence. It's amazing how quickly a guy can fall off the proverbial cliff.
  9. This is basically my feeling as well. It has a pretty good chance to be a disaster. But it's also probably one of the only ways they give themselves a shot to do something. Obviously it's a move of desperation, but I think we're at that point, so why not? I'm not going to claim the Bears receivers are OK, but I want no part of Moss. It would be one thing to take a guy with a bad attitude, which he clearly has. In order to take a guy like that, you can't have a somewhat dysfunctional offense with problems. He has to buy into the system, which he probably won't. And one thing nobody ever seems to mention. He's just not that good anymore. His numbers are very pedestrian, even playing on good offenses. Roddy White and Calvin Johnson see double teams all day long also. And they don't have Brady throwing to them in Belichick's offense. He's not turning any team around. Apparently TEN was the only team to put in a claim. They get him. One thing's for sure -- Moss can't bag on Fisher and maintain any credibility. Fish is pretty solid, IMO
  10. lol, exactly. fun is one way to describe it.
  11. God. Here we go. Someone comes up with something and it'll be picked up by every meathead Bear fan in the stands now.
  12. Well they're playing the baddest of the bad this time, so if they can't even win this one with 2 weeks to prep it'll signal a new low.
  13. I agree. I'm not sure what Moss was expecting, but it seems to me he just decided to act like a baby. So Childress isn't in Belichek's league as a coach. So what? Do something about it on the field. Pick your team up with some great performances.
  14. Being able to go back to New England is going to be difficult. If I was Minnesota I'd file tampering charges if that occurred. Yeah, that's why this is pretty crazy. Surely Moss realizes there's more to it than just raising his voice about how much he loves NE. That's not going to result in him being sent back to NE. .....just a tad more complicated than that.
  15. I thought Moss was throwing up this flak because he simply wants to play in NE again. I really doubt he would behave any better in Chicago than he did in Minny. He'd take one look at Lovie and wouldn't see anything better than Childress. No to Moss.
  16. I don't know what the hell is happening in Minnesota, but it's fun to watch.
  17. What are you talking about, kuj - the Bears aren't a 10-pointer over any team in the NFL right now. Just way too mistake prone and able to blow up at any moment to be given that kind of latitude.
  18. I'm glad they picked it up Saturday. I'm still pissed about Friday though. That was likely my only chance to see the Hawks live this year and they just looked like such a wet sack of crapola. Then there were 3 big, long traffic delays getting home -- caused by lane closures and one nasty crack up (drunk driver probably). But that's another story. It was a bad night :)
  19. No can do. The Bills suck, yeah. But teams that suck will still pick up a win or two, and against a team in disarray like the Bears, this could very well be one of those couple games. I'm not saying the Bills will definitely win, just that it's not out of the realm of possibility. Bears are vulnerable against any team in the NFL right now.
  20. Wow, Derek Anderson. Just boneheaded beyond everything. And that'll probably do it
  21. weatherford almost got it, that illinois-boy can really run. It gave GB their only points, right? I think that call crossed the line from ballsy to silly.
  22. I don't really think there was a better option. The slate of games this week is pretty bad. It just so happens the bye week is hitting many of the stronger teams at the same time. Personally I'd rather watch DAL/JAC than MIA/CIN. I could see someone wanting it the other way, but I don't think it's clear-cut for everyone. And the rest of the games out there other than GB/NYJ are just a whole lotta slop.
  23. What percentage of the fans @ DEN/SF are just Americans travelling? I would guess pretty high - say 60%
  24. Farve will apparently play. I'm a huge Pats fan now.
  25. That'll do it, I think. Bye bye Mich State
