  1. I miss seeing his swing when he absolutely dials in on a pitch. For me it’s more about seeing him do it for another team but I agree with JR in this. It’s a nice thought but not a good decision.
  2. Getting destroyed is one thing. Knowing you are burning arms in the process just makes it worse
  3. Just gotta come back and try to steal one. Priester won’t be much easier. His whole thing is getting people to pound the ball into the ground.
  4. Can’t Steele and Horton be the starting pitcher acquisitions though? I guess it’s easy to forget we’ve fought through being without a key SP pitcher all year long. Done a really good job without him.
  5. I mean I want to support the Cubs in the playoffs but this is unwatchable.
  6. At bar. Wisconsin on one screen, Cubs on the other. This is horrible.
  7. Even if it happens it’s unlikely they are done scoring
  8. Typical Brewers at bat. Spoiled a bucket load of pitches then a hit.
  9. So much for the Brewers being rusty.

    NFL Week 5

Does anyone else like these bye weeks where you can just watch football with little or no emotional investment? I do.
  11. Not chasing is kind of their thing.
  12. Agreed. I’m looking forward to next year in that regard. There is a lot of crying about that call today as you’d expect. I’d be really PO’d too but also, there’s 8 goose eggs on the board heading into that inning. A single bad call doesn’t happen in a vacuum. The Padres put an awful lot on their star players to produce and 0-11 just isn’t gonna cut it. I know it’s really easy to say that when your team won though.
  13. They must have solid info from the doctors that he simply can't do it safely.
  14. It feels like the Cubs have been fighting through injury after injury vs. other teams to get where we are. I'm not sure how it shakes out next year and beyond. But you'd think with Steele and Horton added to the mix with what we have, 2026 looks to be solid... barring injury and that's of course key to everything..
  15. I mean, every game is incredibly important as you know.

    NFL Week 5

I’m convinced Fields would have been OK with a good coaching staff that could develop him properly, like what was done with Jordan Love.

    NFL Week 5

You always regret it when you don't make it. I didn't watch this one. Waaaay to high on the Cubbies yesterday.
  18. I will forever love Green for that post game presser. I love the meltdowns. And he registered one of the best ever. It's sad though, that game was probably the end of his career, at least in the NFL. I'm old enough to remember that he coached at Northwestern too.
